Good morning, Mr. Chairman Mariano of the Commission. This is Eric Bray Black, Assistant County Administrator for Internal Services. Item AR1 is uh presenting for your consideration a care small business personal protective equipment reimbursement program that is to be funded by the coronavirus relief fund. This program is capitated at $1 million and is to provide direct assistance to small business owners who provided PPE for their employees due to COVID nineteen. A key by authorizing
reimbursement to small businesses. Well Dollars per business on a first come, first served basis. Your online application. The requirements we've set out for small businesses to qualify are they have to be a for-profit, privately held small business in Pasco County that was established. Prior to march one, twenty twenty. And they must employ between twenty and fifty employees, with the majority residing in Tasco County. The PPE purchases made by the small business must have been made on or after
March one, twenty twenty and before December thirtieth, twenty twenty. Uh eligible PPE includes things like face masks, gloves, shield face shields, gowns, hand sanitizers, and disinfectants that are effective against COVID-19. The county will have an online portal set up. For applications to be submitted, it will be posted on the county's website and pending your approval. Uh open to receive requests for reimbursement beginning this Thursday, May 21st at 0900.

We want to obviously continue to support our small businesses across Pasco County and obviously the for the health and well being of our citizens. So very much appreciated bringing this to us. I concur with your uh I concur with your comments, Chairman. It's a great program. I'm that's the intent of this money is to get it out, help our small businesses and get the money into our uh economy. With that I uh make the motion to approve AR one.
