Mr. Biles CARES and Operation Feed Pasco update

1:59:03Yes, sir. Before I turn it over to Kathy, um the question about mainsail, I actually got the answer from three different people while we were sitting here. Uh they have their permits and are scheduled to great break ground in June. So just wanted to give you all the answer to that before we broke and now I will turn it over to Kathy. Can I go over some of the items that uh Commissioner Weight mentioned and some other things we're doing. So go away. Take it away, Kathy.

1:59:46Somebody change that slide please. Thank you. Programs Kios program. This is a rental, income, rental and mortgage assistance that we uh launched on May 7th. Uh a thousand forty six applications. Um

Just uh as as you can see from the slide, I'm not gonna read all the numbers, but we are working through the applications on the CARES program. The the interesting one is at the bottom where the Average disbursement is about almost twenty two hundred dollars a person as we work through these and it's working great between the various teams to

2:01:05include the clerk staff helping us out get through that. Uh can you go to the next one?

2:01:12So Operation Feed Pasco, this is a partnership with the United Way. uh and started a couple of weeks ago and we're serving about three thousand meals a week uh through that. It again this is as Commissioner Weightman, this is the one using restaurants and caterers to help serve uh those that need the food. So thanks. Go ahead. Uh a little more stats on that. Um The dining out at home, again more of a seniors program. We're serving about 88 a day and we're serving about almost

2:01:42200 seniors through that program. It started near the end of April. The Senior Meals Drive Through uh started middle of March And uh we're serving about 240, almost 250 seniors through that. uh and we've shrunk, taken about a hundred off the wait list and are continuing to try to trim that wait list down uh through the CARE's money. So Go on to the next one. Comfort station. Now we mentioned this before. serving almost uh about 350 people out there, serving about 271

2:02:13lunches, and this is out near uh Highway 19 and Ridge Road. And go on. And so uh we mentioned summer camps, I think I mentioned them yesterday. We are still planning on moving forward with summer camps, but about half the c normal capacity due to social distancing and and just some of the facilities we're gonna have to be using. So Online registration will begin on the thirtieth. Uh again, this is We're doing this assuming we will be getting to a phase two, which allows groups larger than ten. uh so that that caveat

2:02:44is still there before these camps start. So and I think that's the last slide and Commissioner that's all I have.

2:02:56Um move to um. I do real quick. Um I I'm I'm really glad that we're doing this. Now I've heard s from uh many people who are so grateful that we have this opportunity. Um Are we able to rotate around to different restaurants on that dine out and just help more of the restaurants? I know uh with our program we've done five hundred and sixty meals and we've helped we've we ordered those meals from local restaurants in in uh in the community. Just wondering if if

2:03:26we're able to rotate those restaurants.

2:03:35So to answer that question for the dining out program, Commissioner Starkey, that is through our AAA, and those restaurants have to be vetted. So all restaurants that are interested in that have to get vetted through our AAA. As far as the United Way, they are taking many applications and they have been using a lot of restaurants to serve. So they're not as stringent as our AAA is.

2:03:57So if someone's listening and they want to get an involved, how do they um contact you?

2:04:04Let me get to that e you're talking about for the United Way. We gave that information at the last board meeting. You need to contact United Way, Madeline Kalum. Um and I will get that information for you in one second.
