Fire station two Tibbetts Sprouts cadets

1:50:52Yep, speaking of fire stations, Commissioner Mariano and I uh opened up or broke ground on station two. Uh on fifty four, which is be great service for the Meadow Point area and Cuts the times down and We're we're we're moving along, so congratulations, Chief. and your team, Rob and Justin Fromm was there and Uh good group. So uh what's the opening date on this, Chief? A year? Approximately sooner, no pressure.

1:51:24Yeah, sixteen, eighteen months he said he'll do it in twelve. So There. So congratulations to the guys and this was the last and thank you to the voters for this one. This is one of the last projects uh remaining from the Go Bond from back in 2019. So uh thank you to the voters who who voted for the Go Bond to to fund this station.

1:51:45Um next

1:51:54So Tibbets, Tibbetts, uh well we all know is it uh forty one and fifty two. They're moving uh their shop over to into the Zephyrhills in the Zephyrhills area.

1:52:05They're moving or uh doing a new one.

1:52:06Well this will be a larger, bigger plant. So I imagine they're closing the other one

1:52:10keeping Well d I think it probably depends on what that intersection happens there. Which concerned me. You know, Tibbetts is such a mainstay and they do a

1:52:18great business.

1:52:19Here in Pasco. So um this will be their flagship facility and it'll be in Zephyrhills and it's set to open in the third quarter of 2026. And it'll be the company's largest trust plant with a state of the state of the art mill workshop, window warehouse, and a multi-acre lumber yard plus administrative offices. And I have a CSX Rail Spur and doing all this on 46 acres. And they have 10 locations throughout Florida. And their 11th one is set to open in St. Augustine. So I

1:52:49was relieved to see when Arlen Tillis and his his group reached out and uh invited us. uh to come to their new shop that they were going to stay in Pasco and that the intersection improvement wasn't necessarily going to impact them. uh in a good way. So very, very happy Tibbetts is is here. And then the the next one. Uh

1:53:09I'm happy to get those trucks off the fifty four forty one intersection. You can have 'em over there. You know, it'll be less traffic coming out of that shop. We'll be over there. So that'll help us.

1:53:19So next we have so Sprouts took over at old gym uh where Brace Family Church is on c at uh Col Your and 54 on the south side. So we showed up, we were instructed to be there about six o'clock in the morning. And there were people in line from where Sprouts is all the way around the complex to Grace Family Church. It must have been four hundred people in line for Sprouts to open up at seven AM. So the people who were first in line were there at five something in the morning. And it

1:53:49was just W when Brian and I went we're like, Well who the heck's gonna be at a ribbon cutting at six fifteen in the morning we've all done, you know a whole bunch of these things. They wasn't out and buy. But folks free. Yeah, but folks were really pumped up and excited and and the team there at Sprouts were geared up and ready to go. It's just an incredible looking location and it was nice to have a refurbished shop and Michael's is going in right next door. Oh nice. So that whole complex has really been invigorated.

1:54:20Um and on the opposite side there's Flying Squirrel which is trampoline park and we go to birthday parties there all the time. But it's really, you know, the the complex has had a renaissance and been revitalized and So congratulations to to Sprouts coming in the loot. It was it was a pretty fun morning. And then just wanna give uh shout out to uh Chief Garofalo and his team. uh for their fight for air climb which um Uh they compete in every year. And it's for the American Lung

1:54:50Association. And so Pasco, they've won multiple awards this year. They won the top fundraising uh team for the Firefighter Division. Uh they're also the highest fundraising team. They raised over fifteen thousand dollars. and uh their cadet dress competition, the Pasco Cadets beat Tampa Fire Cadets. So Our uh guys and gals have been whipping up on Tampa Fire Rescue. And uh just appreciate all the work that Chief Garofalo uh heads and done this multi-year. And um JJ, I know you're there last I

1:55:21couldn't be there last night. uh due to a couple of different town halls and things. But if you wanna say a few words about your folks.

Um, you know, and it was great to be there with the cadets last night. and uh they were all given our commemorative Pasco County coin Which uh they really appreciate it. Uh and I told 'em use it as incentive to motivate them to, you know, they're our they're our future. Right. What What's the right-of-way? Uh the captain does and you know we had a battalion chief there

1:56:09in the picture. Uh yes, they the Lung Association created a new award because we raised so much money and there are so many people participating in that. So uh Mike wasn't there last night but they uh they nominated you know, somebody from administration and since I have a bad wheel, Mike will do the stairclimb next year. I think. Uh you know, I nominated him last night when they they called me out. So with a bad wheel I don't think I can do it, Mike. So you do it next year, I'll do it the year after. And uh Uh Commissioner Weightman will be

1:56:39happy to have you uh join the team next year as well. Start training on s at Sun West.

1:56:44I also wanna say that uh uh my son who is there said he the thank you to uh David Graffalo for the pizza. I bought a bunch of pizza for the cadets. So nice. Yep.
