Okay, so uh Let me just go over briefly the instructions for those of you who have not been to a Planning committee meeting before Uh we're appointed by the County Commission. We meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and hold public hearing and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and
certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone's in anyone's in opposition to any development code amendment, rezoning conditional use. or any item and where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners. For those of you who are not familiar with the format of our meeting. Our procedure ours our procedures are as follows. We have Uh
typically we have a c uh continuances. Uh it's been our custom to approve such requests from the staff or the applicant. unless there are extenuating circumstances. We have a consent agenda where items of been placed on the agenda when we've not received any objections uh from the public or staff. And we'll go through those item by item if something is on the consent agenda that anyone in the audience, the the virtual audience or the pr actual audience? would
like to discuss, please uh Make it known and we will take it off consent for discussion. Otherwise once we go through consent we'll uh vote. on the uh entire consent agenda. And approve it. uh under one vote. We also have regular items, those are items. not are being requested for continuance or on consent. And I don't believe we even have any of those today, do we? That's right. So okay, so the applicants will have three minutes
to make their presentation. Uh if they choose and the Objectors or questioners will have three minutes to ask their questions. And then following uh Uh those questions the applicant will have five minutes to respond. uh if there's been a request to ex uh for additional time, at least uh twenty four hours prior to this meeting in writing. um s uh such extra time may be granted.
