Call to order, pledge, and roll call

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Do you swear or affirm this estimate you're about to give is the truth to help you guys?

Charles GreyChair

All right, thank you. With the Planning Commission, we meet we are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold public hearings and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative

standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, land development code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners.

uh for those of you who are n not have not been here on a regular basis and not familiar with our format, uh that they are as follows. We have continuances and those are uh items where the staff Traditionally, or the applicant has requested a continuance for any number of reasons, and it's uh generally been our uh our stance to to grant those continuances unless they are extenuating circumstances. And we have a on a list of consent items we call the

consent agenda. And we'll go through those items one at a time. If you see hear something on consent agenda that you would like to have discussed today, As I read it off, you just raise your hand and we'll pull it off consent. And we'll we'll discuss it. Otherwise, anything that remains on consent will be voted on at one time and approved. And uh then the others will be placed on the with the regular items. And those are items that are on the regular agenda and on the uh on

the uh docket for discussion. Applicants will have three minutes uh to break their presentations and objectors will uh have three minutes to state their concerns. And then following the presentation the applicant will have time for rebuttal. or to respond to those people that have concerns. Um we've had uh a couple of requests for extra time which I've noted one from Saint Leo and one from uh one of the applicants uh so those have been noted and granted.

And um Um just a reminder, please if you have a phone on, please silence it. Maybe take my own advice. And uh Yeah, you too.
