What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

This archive found it in the recording: a call to order, a recess, or business the board never listed. The county recorded nothing about it, so everything below is our reading.

Jack Mariano

Awesome. Great to hear. Approval? Second. All in favor say aye. Okay.

And item C fifty four.

Kathryn Starkey

Oh no, you got forty six. C forty six.

Jack Mariano

Well forty six forty six.

Kathryn Starkey

And I have a question on that one.

Mike Carballa

I think forty six is a duplicate.

Jack Mariano

Yeah, we just did forty six. Yeah. I know it's it's on here twice but we did it already. Okay. All right, so C fifty four, um this is just a feel good thing, et cetera, with a with great improvement for uh pull the pull and revise.

Unidentified speaker

Good morning. Uh Tim Guti with the A Better Future program. I report to Chuck Lane, who has a convert resume.

Jack Mariano

Okay. And the basic motion for this pull and revise is you're taking the term from what would have been a twenty-year contract to keep it affordable housing, has now been agreed uh to go to a hundred-year contract uh to keep it affordable housing. And I'm gonna put a special thank out uh uh the Vincent House is such an awesome organization. Uh David Lembert from Withlacucci Electric Company, the best electric company on the planet, uh wants to see this. go as well. So when this came up in conversation yesterday, you guys had your conversation. He agreed to go the hundred years. That just

shows you the commitment to the affordable housing, which this program is all designed about. So again, I want to thank Mr. David Lambert for doing just a phenomenal job in keeping to the mission. This is a phenomenal, phenomenal project.

Kathryn Starkey

I do have a question. Um so uh and I love the project too. Um So this is to complete the last segment of it. Is that correct? This may be a Kathy or David question more than you. Because Tim is our consultant for for the public Tim's our consultant for our C D B G D R money. He's not necessarily involved with Bins in the house, right? Yeah, because I did the math and this takes us to nine million two hundred and fifteen thousand from the county.

I didn't know. I I've got f four or five years of C D B G D R money. C D B G money, and then this is C D B G D R money that's gone to Vincent House. So it does this complete

Jack Mariano

This completes this project, yes. Okay, awesome.

Kathryn Starkey

And so there's thirty, no, twenty-four in this one and fifteen in the prior?

Jack Mariano

Th yes, there are thirty nine units total for the housing, but I don't think nine and a half million. I think that was total for the building too.

Kathryn Starkey

Okay, one of them went to um the Vincent Academy Adventure Post.

Jack Mariano

Yes, that's the housing. Com that's the housing.

Kathryn Starkey

Okay, a million and a half. Right. All right. So was there any other funding that went to this project?

Jack Mariano

Sure, there's federal funding that came into this project that Congress Congressman Bill Rackis got us. Also, there was over a million some dollars in private donations that came to this project as well. So multiple donations around the county to to make this project go. Okay.

Kathryn Starkey

Well I I'm in support. I just wanted to check on the numbers if we're done.

Jack Mariano

Move approval. It's

Kathryn Starkey

complete.

Jack Mariano

Thank you.

Kathryn Starkey

Yeah.

Jack Mariano

Have a motion and a second. All in favor say aye. Aye. Again, fantastic project. Okay, now we're gonna go to time certain, 11 o'clock. Natasha Sherwood, CEO of Amskills.
