Good morning. I'd like to call together the Pasco County Commission Wednesday, September 9th, Board of County Commissioners meeting. We please rise for the implication of the pledge.

Father, we've gathered today for another important meeting and another full agenda. So I thank you for all who have come here today in order to participate or to listen and observe. I thank you for our commissioners and ask that in the course of this day that you give them all wisdom and open hearts and open ears to. to hear the concerns of those that are here. But possibly even more importantly,
Lord, we are just days away from the twenty-fifth remembrance of nine-eleven. 9-11 was such a terrible day in the history of our country, Lord. So many perished. And so as we get close to that day and as we approached the many reminders that will be shown to us on that day, I lift up the families of all of those
who perished on that day, Lord. Ask that you surround them with your arms of love. I also lift up the families of so many who have died since then, Lord, as a result of uh just the bad air and the circumstances uh in that area for so many days after that, Lord. They are just as much victims as those who were in the buildings. In that same time, Lord, we
know that heroes emerged unexpectedly, many who never thought they would ever be a hero. They went in and they did what they could in order to save others. So I just lift up our thanks and praise for them. So as we approach remembrance of the day, just give us hearts for those who were affected. I know that all of us here that were around will remember where
we were and what we were doing when we heard that it happened, Lord. So since then our country has grown stronger and we thank you for that. And Lord, as we approach this time, let's pause for a moment of personal reflection and a moment of silence.
Thank you, Lord, for your presence as we've gathered today. We lift up this day, we lift up this meeting, and we lift up the days that are before us, Lord, and ask that you be with us, guide us, encircle us with your arms of love and compassion, and be with us today and always. And I lift up in your name. Amen.
