bringing this idea forward. Uh I didn't know where to put solutions for this band, but Glad you did and as soon as the meeting was over, we had fun budget done. My first call or two. Bring this resolution forward, so I'll be happy to say that. You're here now, so done a resolution. Uh Charlie Kirk, I get to meet him through my daughter. When she was elected she was one of the younger representatives Um the nation went around with the different functions. And she had
to speak in front of this group several times. Uh I can still listen. from behind stage and never up front because it was pretty much the youth that they wanted to bring into America. And I think it's such an important thing to get the users to pay attention. So sometimes you get tied in with this, that and the other thing, you don't focus on what's going on in the country. But I think You saw a knee. To engage with the youth. What he did in college campuses, now high schools, and now even elementaries that's radiating from has been, I think, absolutely amazing. The dollars to spend Penny
for him debating no matter what podcast you may see or whatever club you may see. Always debating professionally, right up front and point to point. I think you just want a lot of people, one of our a lot of our some people just weren't gonna listen, but I think his knowledge of debate, open discussion was some of this country needs that free specific dialogue. It's just so important when people just shutting themselves off. What do you think what I think he did on campus? It's a broad conversation. But we'll And I'm honored to be able to respond to this. Thank you. Yeah,
okay.
Thank you, uh,
Mr.
Chair uh Troy Peterson. I'm representing Christian Family Coalition of Florida here this morning. And uh really need to give honor where honor is due. First off, Mr. Chair, uh thanks for bringing this forward. Uh commissioners for voting yay. Uh but Christian Family Coalition is the spearhead on this. And uh I just really want to thank John. for his diligent work didn't this uh through other counties. You know, as a day of remembrance
and uh You know, so um The the one thing I was thinking about Just real quick is Pastor Leonard reminded me of a certain commissioner calling me. and and asking for prayer. And uh just not uh really liking all these, you know, books that Are not good in our libraries. And uh I want to thank you, Commissioner Oakley, it was Christian Family Coalition.
that uh we we brought the stop funding of the American Library Association a couple of years back. But here's a healthy alternative. Where we have the opportunity to bring Charlie's books into our public libraries here in Pasco County. You can look them up online, see what they're all about. But I was just looking at one of them, you know, stop in the name of God, how a single day of dedicated pause can radically transform the
weak, the mind, and the heart. About a day of rest. No how many I need a day of rest. You know, I really need it. And and when I when I take that time, get still before the Lord, remember the Sabbath day, keeping it holy, it helps me out throughout the whole week. That's what this book is about. Another one, real briefly, here is uh War on the American Mind is a collection of Charlie Kirk's most powerful quotes, timeless messages that continue
to inspire. Encourage, uh bring conviction and faith in the American dream. You know, and even the one about the Second Amendment, you know, a book that is uh you know geared toward uh training and teaching uh children to hunt, to go out and you know, harvest animals and feed our family with. These are the type of books that I think would be really great uh to inspire our youth. Uh thank you for your uh yes and And for your
uh commitment to the county and keep it truth. Yeah.
Thank you again, John Fabriol of the Christian Gang Coalition. And uh again, thank you to Chairman Mariano and uh this county commission for recognizing an important voice in the Christian community who was Charlie Kirk. He boldly proclaimed the state in Jesus Christ. He went into the most possible environments of college Kansas's and I think that. For your hands. So they talked about that curvature. And he was a very important voice. Very
Thank you for Take a step to show that the people that we do we do honor is a contribution and then that you should not be afraid. So thank you again.
And I'd like to thank you. I moved
here in nineteen fifty and you'll make building a ordinary person. And then what I recurly did was roll back what I grew up in. I
mean, you know, we had life reading, we
had prayer. And even the lift Miss Oz and became Maddie Locke. She had a big panel and I saw her and it was brought up in the air of the fear of God was put in there, the truth was put in there, and the rod was there just like it says to do. And you know, being grown up in that, now being eight years old and hear what's going on in the schools and how far have
we
fallen? And so we should probably add things as attorney. You can go back to the woods and make the mayor could royate. And honoring God with
His wisdom, love for one another, bringing our children up, to fear God, love one another, to be interested in the community, raised up the community of God. So I'm not sure.
Thank you.
Uh look forward to doing that.
Maybe fun then it was going to show up. I want.

at school he didn't want to hear it I was in trouble at home so he had that straight but you know what I did see commission I saw a boy that didn't do his school work sixth grade She says, Come up here and grab your ankles. She took her board. He slid down on that. When he got up, his nose was dirty. No more trouble out of him. He went to no point. Okay.

right out.
Better than prison.
