Good morning, Mr. Chairman and Board Members. David Engel, representing the Office of Economic Growth. The agenda item before you today is an economic incentive agreement. And what I'd like to do is give a brief overview of the project, make a staff recommendation, and then introduce Ms. Jenny Samar of the Pasco EDC, who will uh also introduce Mr. Jerry Flatt, CEO of Sol Company. Okay, so Uh next slide, please. Move it on. I don't have a remote here.
The project is located in Compark 75 in the Wesley Chapel area of Pasco County. It's on a 7.7-acre lot. The company is proposing to construct next to their existing facility a 100,000 square foot uh building. And could you go to the next slide, please? And It'll be a manufacturing building, and as a result of this project, the company is proposing to hire 25 full-time employees. The
Pasco County Economic Development Council has proposed $177,172 worth of incentives, consisting of a job creation incentive. For 25 new jobs, which is $50,000, a Pasco County five-year tangible reimbursement incentive, which totals $107,172, which is a rebate on their tangible taxes paid the previous year. And also the employee
training grant for PASCO-based employees for $20,000. The project will generate $4.69 million annually in gross county product. So the return on investment is very substantial. Um So at this juncture, I'd like to uh make a recommendation by staff to approve this economic incentive agreement. And I'd like to extend uh Jenny Samar, some time to just represent the Pasco EDC.

Okay. I'm Jenny Samora and I'm with the Pasco EDC. I am the Business Retention and Expansion Manager. Today we have the privilege to present the Sol Company. The Sol Company is a perfect example why we have the VRE program and why we do what we do. The Sol Company was incorporated in the state of Florida in 1956. This company has been very resilient. Has overcome many economic climates that have been challenging and have continued to grow and expand.
Our small businesses are the backbone of our economy, our local economy, and they are the backbone of our business community. So through a BRE visit, we were able to talk to Mr. Flatt, who is logged on as Chris Osborne. And Mr. Flatt is the representative for the company. And he's going to give you a brief history on the company and have his time. But I would like to say that when we were able to meet with him, he had been considering to expand for several years their company manufacturers, packaging, and
shipping supplies. And now they've added a medical division that allows to service many of our healthcare facilities in the area, but also in the southeastern United States. We are privileged to work in partnership with the company to see them continue succeeding, bringing workforce opportunities and continue growing and bringing a positive. Economic impact to our area. And now I would like to introduce Mr. Jerry Flatt

Okay. My name's Jerry Flatt and uh I'm with the soul company. Uh we've been In Pasco County since the year of 2001, we opened up the present facility that we have. We've grown uh to the point that we need to add an additional facility. Uh we do a lot of uh packaging with different companies, different manufacturers. uh both in Pasco
and Pinellas and Hillsborough County. Uh we even sell some product on the east coast of the state of Florida. We have a medical division that has grown exponentiously and Uh we have signed new contracts with a number of group purchasing organizations. Uh health trust. Uh out of uh Tennessee. And we have just signed two new contracts with two new groups. And
we're looking to increase our business. We supply uh Patient positioning products that are manufactured. Out of foam. And so these are used in surgery applications for positioning the patient. And that part of our business is really growing. So we've decided to. Put up the new building. Uh, and we appreciate the help that y'all are offering to be able to accomplish that. And in
putting up that building, our medical division will move out of our existing building. Which will allow more growth for packaging. and allow the growth that we need on the medical side. So we're very thankful to uh have the opportunity to explain a little bit about the company. and our growth plans and I'd be glad to answer any questions that you might have of me.
Excellent. Well, we're excited about your growth. Congratulations on the all the great accomplishments you and your team are are are doing. Um, do we have any c other questions or comments from the board at this time? I just won't get a new album. Whoa, how many how many new FTs are you adding, sir?
Uh we we anticipate uh uh probably 10 the first year and then up to 25 uh within the third year of uh opening the facility.
