David Engel Thank you, Bill. David Engel, Planning and Economic Growth Director. I wanted just to thank the board for the support you've given over the six years I've been here. When I first walked in the door back in 2018, we had a very specific focused economic growth and development program through our job creation incentives and our partners at the EDC facilitating business. Is moving into the county. But in that time, uh our portfolio of tools has expanded greatly because of this board. We support small business, we focus on job skills creation. We even are uh training and educating homeless people and getting them into jobs and off the street. We do so many things. And our new chapter is going to be redevelopment and revitalization of our rural and uh uh and depressed areas. So thank you so much and uh and it's been great working with Bill for the six years I've been here. Thanks.

Bill Cronin Well, thank you again. Let me first say it is a great week in Pasco County as we continue to celebrate successes today with so many people in the room that make up a part of what we do. As you mentioned, there's over a hundred thousand people that are involved in economic development around the United States. I'm a board member of the IEDC, the International Economic Development Council. We have 4,500. Members, and we're all competing for business, but we're all doing it with the heart of our community in mind. It is a team sport. I'm here together with our county partners, with uh uh David Engel from the Office of Economic Growth, but also included our all of you and everyone else in this room when we look at economic development. I think this week gives. Gives us the opportunity to really talk about what economic development is. And I think a lot of people see ribbon cuttings and groundbreakings and things like that, and that's what they think about economic development. But they forget

Bill Cronin Yeah. I'll just come on down and and while you're coming down I'll mention that uh um there's a lot of people that don't know what economic development uh is and what we do. There's very few people that actually want to do this as a career and actually went to school for it. I've been doing this for almost 30 years and Sarah is the second person that I've ever met that actually went to school to become an economic developer and we are so lucky to have her here. So we're all very proud and our whole team's here to celebrate with you as well too.
Ron Oakley sector, with the recipient receiving a $5,000 scholarship to be applied towards coursework and fees associated with achieving the certified economic developer designation. And RAS, Sarah is the Economic Development Coordinator for the Pasco EDC, and throughout her tenure, she has made significant contributions to Pasco EDC while also achieving three promotions that reflect her commitment to the field of economic development. NRAS, Sarah holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Economics, a Masters of Science in Economic Development, and serves on the End Recidivism Project Board, HCA Bayonet Point Community Advisory Council, Career Source Pasco Hernando Education and Industry Consortium, Pasco County School's CTAE Career Advisory Council and holds shared positions on Spark Pasco Hernando Spark Pasco Hernando as well as committees for Pasco Hernando State College, Kaiser University, and Fred K. Marchman Technical College. Sarah's professionalism and expertise has influenced the outcomes of key initiatives such as an em uh an employer Resource Library, Career Seeker Resource Library, and the Connect OPP tool for enhanced talent engagement.
