Propose something that will last for decades, which is the Orange Belt Trail, which is thirty-seven mile trail throughout uh Pasco County. Um we recently or I recently reviewed the alignments for the uh Orange Belt Trail and would would recommend that the Board of County Commissioners approved the staff recommendations for the the new alignments.

I live at [address removed], and I'm calling about an item on the agenda and set an agenda related um to the $700,000 of the tree mitigation fund to be used. on the the um irrigation and medium planting um which is wonderful to eat beautiful tasco county beautiful and I'm all for the beautification of Pasco County uh with the cheap tree mitigation fund it would be uh wonderful um it There could be a massive tree planting with that mitigation fund, for example. There are places along our beautiful orange belt trails that have no trees. And um it's very hard if you're riding a bicycle in Pasco County and all of a sudden you're like, there are no trees along this bike trail. And how wonderful it would be if we can get some shade and then exhausted, finally find a few trees. And paint arracts under the trees after biking. The Planning Council is working very, very hard and very wonderfully well on our new tree ordinances. Hopefully,

Jay Vogel Good morning. My name is Jay Vogel. I live at [address removed]. I'm the mayor of San Antonio and I'm here today to speak about the Orangebell Trail. At a time when we have an unprecedented assault on Home Rule from Tallahassee, my hope is that the county and the elected city governments of Pasco can work hand in hand on this project. This is one issue in which my constituents have spoken with a unified voice. We are not opposed to the bike trail. We just feel strongly that it should not go through any of our residential neighborhoods. Our streets simply can't handle it, and we do not want to go through eminent domain of the county. Later today I believe you'll uh hear a letter that more directly states our position that our city commission sent to all of you. I have directed my staff to work closely with the county on this matter, and if the commissioners or county staff have any questions or concerns, please reach out to any one of us.
