    Starkey Yes, sir. I've got the third resolution. Um, is anyone here for uh Moffitt Cancer Center? If you would please um come to the podium. Thank you. Okay. Resolution number 21-264, a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, commending Moffitt Cancer Center and recognizing August 1st as World Lung Cancer Day. Whereas world lung I'm sorry, whereas lung cancer is a global concern, the World Health Organization has reported that lung cancer is responsible for nearly one in five cancer deaths, 20%, across the globe. August first is recognized as World Lung Cancer Day to increase awareness of lung cancer risk factors and the importance of early screening and treatment. And whereas in the United States, lung cancer makes up almost 25% of all cancer deaths, and each year more people die from lung cancer than from colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined. Anne RAS Moffitt Cancer Center is a national leader in the prevention, treatment, and research of lung cancer dedicated to informing and empowering people at high risk of developing lung cancer.

    Starkey with sarcoma. NRAS July is nationally recognized as Sarcoma Awareness Month in order to raise understanding and encourage further research of this cancer. NRAS Moffat Cancer Center has a sarcoma program specializing in the evaluation and treatment of more than 50 unique sarcoma subtypes. NRAS Moffat Cancer Center has one of the most advanced and specialized sarcoma programs in the United States. and accepts nationwide physician referrals for adult and pediatric sarcoma patients, as well as patients who require further diagnostic testing to either confirm or rule out a sarcoma diagnosis. And RAS through a multi-specialty team of experts, the sarcoma program at the at the Moffitt Cancer Center offers the latest advancements in sarcoma treatment, including molecular targeted experimental vaccines and immunotherapies, in non invasive expandable limb implants, and limb salvage surgeries.     Starkey And Ras residents and their families of the fifteen counties, including Pasco County, that make up Moffitt Cancer Centers. Catchment area are impacted by lung cancer, and whereas smoking is the number one risk factor for lung cancer, and Pasco County has the highest percentage of residents who smoke, 23.3%, among Moffitt Cancer Centers catchment area counties. Other other known risk factors include environmental exposures, i.e., rate on gas, asbestos, secondhand smoke. Age. Most diagnosis are among adults 65 or older.     Starkey to decrease health disparities including access to free tobacco treatment and smoking cessation counseling and free annual low-dose CT lung screenings to eligible individuals. Now therefore be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, in session duly assembled, that said board hereby commends Moffitt Cancer Center and recognizes August 1st as World Lung Cancer Day to bring awareness to the severity of lung cancer and to encourage participation in low-dose CT screening and voluntarily and voluntary activities to support tobacco cessation. Resolution number twenty-two-one sixty-nine, a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, declaring the month of July as sarcoma awareness month in Pasco County and celebrating Moffitt Cancer Center's dedicated work to find a cure. Whereas sarcoma is a rare, hard-to-detect cancer of bones or connective tissues such as nerves, muscles, joints, fats, and blood vessels. That can arise nearly anywhere in the body. Even in its advanced stages, sarcoma can easily avoid detection and diagnosis. Due to this difficulty, sarcoma is known as the forgotten cancer. NRAS, more than 70 subtypes of sarcoma have been identified, each with their own symptoms, prognosis, and recommended treatment pass. NRAS sarcoma counts for 1% of adult cancers and 15 to 20% of childhood cancer. in the United States.
