    OakleyChair

Uh this item is an ordinance amending the Pasco County Comprehensive Plan, providing for a small-scale comprehensive plan amendment to the future land use map, map two-fifteen and she twenty-two from res three residential three dwelling units per gross acre to res six, residential six dwelling units per gross acre, and approximately twenty-eight point ten acres of real property located at the southeast intersection of Ashton Oaks Boulevard and State Road 54, and providing for additional technical. amendments as necessary for internal consistency, providing for repealer serverability in an effective date. This

comes to you with a recommendation for approval and adoption of the ordinance by Will Coppel. Okay.

    Starkey

Can you can you put the map up for a second, Terry?

    OakleyChair

    Oh yes.

    Unidentified speakerVoice A

    No, closer.

    Starkey

Um is this your district, Commissioner?

    Is this one?

    OakleyChair

    Two. Okay.

    Starkey

Just wants to pay attention. Uh if you if you see that easement um to the south.

See that? Yeah, I mean you have uh you know my favorite word potential opportunity for a trail there and I I just hope you'll just like dig into your your district and see see what you can help create for your your citizens to have a wonderful quality of life around there. I think it said F P L on Mr. Uh on the map That I saw, but when I look at it, it it um it doesn't look like it's

    under FPL ownership, but um

    Mike Carballa

    Florida Power or Florida Power.

    Starkey

I know it says F P L on the map that I was shown yesterday. Which doesn't make sense.

    Unidentified speakerVoice B

    Not

    Starkey

    near

    Unidentified speakerVoice B

    not

    Starkey

    exactly service

    Unidentified speakerVoice B

    territory,

    Starkey

but okay. That's South Florida I think or other parts of Florida. Yeah. But I just wanna you know I I don't know what the master plan for connectivity of trails is in this area. But there's there are a lot of people moving in here and we should be doing something. And so when I see a corridor like that Um

    OakleyChair

is there a trail there somewhere already that you're drawing?

    Starkey

    I have no idea.

    OakleyChair

    I

    Starkey

don't know if staff could to show me what the planned opportunities are in this area. Um there's one along State Road fifty six, but I know nothing about what's going on on State Road fifty four.

    OakleyChair

There are trails that are planned for uh Chansey Road, which is further.

    Starkey

I saw that in the narrative on the one that just passed before.

    OakleyChair

    And then just easily.

    Starkey

But you have to be able to get there.

    OakleyChair

Yes. Just west of this site at Fox Ridge Boulevard, which is uh

Should I connect up to if I'm looking at this correctly or listen listening to it?

    Starkey

So it just might be good for you to have a meeting with people um Commissioner Weightman and at the county and look at what opportunities might exist and and keep an eye on it before everything's gone. Um to

    Weightman

I appreciate that Commissioner but this this power line easement Terry this is from minor saying that's that's set

    Starkey

It's what? No, no, you can go so Duke is difficult to put a uh trail in, but my understanding is the other ones aren't. And when I looked up the ownership on Pasco property appraisers site that one of those easement was owned by the homeowners association of Ashton whatever. And I think that this one the one to the east is owned by the developer or the landowner.

    Barbara Wilhite

    Yes.

    Starkey

So um just saying More thought should be going into the region. Or some some plan. And here's an opportunity.

    OakleyChair

    Yeah. Just something

    Unidentified speakerVoice B

    you have to ask.

Terry, the companion rezon is not on today's agenda, is it? Uh I d I don't believe so.

Then then this discussion can can be had when when you're not in the comp plan stage but at the rezon stage.

    Weightman

    No on

    Unidentified speakerVoice B

    the

    Weightman

But it's into trail off duty, we don't need that.

    Starkey

It's it's not uh really affected today. I'm just bringing it to your attention on this opportunity.

    OakleyChair

All right. Uh entertain a motion.

    Starkey

    Second.

    OakleyChair

    And this row call vote.

    Starkey

Okay, District two, Commissioner Weightman. Aye. District three, Commissioner Starkey. Aye. District four, Commissioner Bradford. Aye. District five, Commissioner Mariano.

    OakleyChair

    Aye.

    Starkey

    District one, Chairman Oakley.

    OakleyChair

Aye. Motion pass 5-0. Move on to P57.
