Welcome, Mr. Major. Thank you, uh Chairman. Chairman Oakley Board, uh Roy Major, Assistant County Administrator for Development Services.
So probably the the the biggest part of the development services reorganization is the naming of a new director uh for the new planning and economic growth group. And so I would ask ask the board to consider Dave Engel for the director of the new planning and economic growth department. Uh David will have zoning, the new planning services team. And economic growth all reporting to him. And I feel great about entrusting the direction of
this new group to Mr. David Engel.

Thank you. Thank you for reserving all the R items for me this morning. You know I am brief. I just want to thank the board for considering my confirmation. This is a very important job for the county. We're at a crossroad, and I know that everybody has expectations, uh leadership, executive team, uh, the team members. that I work with on a daily basis. My mission is to reach those expectations and
make the county a better place to live for tomorrow. So I thank you.
Yeah. Thank you. I um I don't know you very well but I hope to know you better in the future, so But Dave was a very smart individual. I've kept him close because he's so smart. I figured it it maybe it rub off on me. So but uh

Well thank thank you Mr. Bradford and I uh I hope to reach those aspirations. Thank you.
Well along with this also would like to say that um business uh construction services with Rory Major coming on and you coming on with the planning and and the realignment of things, um that there's a real light at the end of that. Um tunnel that we've been looking for and I think I think it's close to being here. So
well I I also want to say that Terry Pitos is a great colleague of mine. I've enjoyed our relationship over the last six years and we will continue working and striving uh for the betterment of the county. Thank you.
I think you all make all of you make a a very great team for for us and the administrator to do great works. We look forward to uh seeing you in the future and a lot of good things are gonna happen in Pasco County. Uh Mr. Mariano. Thank you, Mr.
Chairman. David, I'm gonna make the motion in just a minute here after Commissioner Starkey goes or she will, but uh I think it's a great move for the county to to bring you in. Roy, you said you were gonna shake things up and and make some big moves. This is another big move. Um I think it's a well deserved one. Mike, as you said you were gonna focus on this issue as far as permitting construction services, uh as well as economic development and Just it's just another great move for the great individuals that we have in the county to move up and I'm delighted about it. Thank you, sir.

And uh congratulations uh to you. Um we work a lot together and I'm looking forward to working with you more. And Roy, you I'm really excited with all the um good advancements that I think you've um made in our in our departments. You know, it's not our job. It's our job to pick him. And then and so uh I think you're actually both doing a great job. So um and you know I look forward to working more with with Terry as well. I d I think this
place that people strengths a little better and um and we're we're a growing county and uh responsibilities, you know, get shifted and shared more and more and um And I'm sure we're looking to bring in in even more more people, especially a trail person. Um so look forward to that as well. Congratulations on your new role and for Terry on his new role and others who I think there were some more changes. So congratulations to everybody.
