Um Th the first thing that caught my eye because I looked into this um was that it

1:07:22was a comp we we were using a company from another county. Commissioner Mariano would if he's listening. You know we like to try and keep this local. And I understand that we are now using a company. You wanna explain that please go down the fashion?

Um Following a competitive process, we selected a vendor, uh very few respondents to that procurement uh a year or more ago. Um we did end that agreement with them recently for non-performance. Uh we also had a second contractor that pulled out from performance as well. We've gone back out um and have uh received uh competitive bids from I believe it was three companies. companies. The the company

1:08:07that we have since selected is a Pasco based company.

1:08:10So um looking at it, we pay per square foot. Is that how it works? That is correct. By the size of the lot? Correct. Or how much they have to mow.

1:08:24But what if there's 'cause I I started looking up some of the lots and you know, what if there's only a little bit of mowing?

1:08:40In some cases they do remove trash as well. And so in some limited cases you may see dumping fees associated with if there's trash on the site.

1:08:48And I I just want you guys to take a look at what it I mean, it's costly to the citizens. It's a ne it's a necessary thing. Um but um so so on one of these, um okay, go go down. Uh where where's can you open up one of the PDFs that's attached to me? I think it would be on another

1:09:34I'll point out this is also these are class one violations, which is a hundred and fifty dollar uh citation, and that's under the uniform fine and fee schedule set by the sixth judicial court. That is not represented in the lien resolution. Okay.

1:09:46I wanted to get an understanding what the numbers were on this p on the PDF. There's there's a there's a whole bunch of violations that we're dealing with there. This is okay, so what is that number f so this is what I was seeing. A hundred and twenty one dollars, that seemed to be a pretty common amount for a lot of these mowings. So um So this says one twenty one. Now we're going to a higher higher one.

1:10:21Yeah, the f okay, so this is an example of of one of the ones we're paying. What is the number four? What is the number five? We're trying to understand what that was.

1:10:48That is the total amount, including the administrative costs for that particular one.

1:10:53So there is a spreadsheet that gives you right, you've seen this that breaks down those that's also in your attachments. It identifies the clearing cost, the penalty, the administrative costs, recording costs, and then the total, which all of those are within each lien for the said property.

1:11:11Okay, so um so when we do a code enforcement violation That money goes to the state, not to us. Is that correct? Or is it different in this

1:11:22Okay, I think that in this instance where's Ralph? If we're pa if our citizens are paying for

1:11:31the lien goes to against the property and it comes back to us because those those are that's a special assessment lien.

1:11:39The citation that is written for the violation would end up going to the state.

1:11:44And that is not included in one of these numbers that you're seeing.

1:12:14Well all right. Well I wanted to understand what I was seeing, what that number four, what that number five was and um and then I didn't like that it was going to someone in another county. But that's all fixed and so do you guys have any questions on these? It's just it's just so sad that we have to do this, but uh I it's also I want people to see how expensive it is for us to mow. Um It's kind of amazing that that it costs that much to go most someone's yard. That we can't find someone who'll do it for us.
