Uh a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, declaring the week of July 19th through 25th, 2026 as pretrial, probation, and parole supervision week in Pasco County. Whereas misdemeanor probation serves as a component of the criminal justice system by supporting court-ordered supervision and promoting

26:03accountability while also providing individuals with a structured opportunity to rebuild their lives through meaningful engagement and guidance. and whereas misdemeanor probation has established and embraced a culture of hope, Having one person engaged. Recognizing that a single committed connection can inspire trust, accountability, and lasting positive change, a model reinforced through the supervision of 1,528

26:34defendants in 2025. and whereas misdemeanor probation professionals bring the culture of hope to life through individualized support and consistent engagement, resulting in effective supervision outcomes and demonstrated by the collection of Uh $170,954 and eighty-eight cents in restitution in twenty twenty five. Directly aiding victims and reinforcing offender accountability.

27:06And whereas over the five-year period from 2021 to 2025, misdemeanor probation supervised 7,752 defendants, reflecting the scope and sustained capacity of the program to meet the needs of the courts and the community. and whereas only 2.41% of those supervised during that five-year period, 187 individuals, return for a subsequent misdemeanor

27:37probation term. a strong indicator of successful supervision. And whereas these professionals collaborate with law enforcement, courts, and community partners to ensure individuals meet their obligations while maintaining connections to employment, treatment, and supportive services. And whereas misdemeanor probation staff uphold high ethical standards and reinforce community safety by ensuring compliance with court orders, providing

28:07case management, and promoting prevention. and whereas their engagement driven approach strengthens lives, promotes rehabilitation, and contributes to a more just and supportive community. and whereas pre trial, probation, and parole supervision week presents an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the contribution of Pasco County's misdemeanor probation professionals whose commitment makes a difference

This morning I have the unique pleasure of introducing this amazing group of professionals, including Tracy Toner, who's a standard of professionalism in this industry in our community, over 30 years of service. And without them, our community wouldn't be as safe, and individuals in our community wouldn't have a second chance of better outcomes at a better life in Pasco County. So with that, I'd like to We the floor now to Tracy.

29:54Good morning, Commissioners. Um on behalf of the team that's standing behind me, I just want to thank you for recognizing um Free trial, probation and parole supervision week. The work this team does helping individuals navigate the court ordered requirements, supporting them through their challenges, promoting accountability. It requires heart, it requires patience, and it requires hope. In our division, like the resolution had indicated, having that one person engaged, it defines the culture that we strive to uphold.

30:25It reflects our belief that every individual that we supervise should feel that we are fully engaged and invested in their success. And I'm very proud of the positive impact that this team makes each and every day. From the $170,000 in restitution collected to the low, very low repeat offender percentage. It it's all a reflection of the passion and the commitment of the team. And again, I just want to thank you for your support and for this resolution.
