This is resolution number 26277, a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, declaring the month of July 2026 as Park and Recreation Month in Pasco County. Whereas Pasco County's parks, recreation, and natural resources departments, programs, and facilities are essential services that enhance our quality of life by providing a balance of athletic, social, cultural, and recreational opportunities,

33:19building self-esteem, teaching life skills, encouraging environmental awareness, and providing public spaces for every student. citizen to enjoy. and whereas Pasco County celebrates the power of connection, Recognizing that parks and recreation are where relationships grow. Cultures meet and communities bond through programs such as volunteer cleanup days and other community-building efforts. And whereas Pasco County embraces

33:50the power of play by offering playgrounds, youth sports leagues, and summer camps that inspire creativity spark joy, and support lifelong learning for children and families. And whereas Pasco County promotes the power of well being through fitness programs, wellness challenges such as

36:47Um good morning, Keith Wiley, Director of Parks Recreation National Resources. Thank you for acknowledging the team mostly the efforts that, you know, right now, literally this is a small fraction of the team. Um, they're out there preparing uh every day to make sure that um you know we maintain the level of service that uh that our citizens come to expect. Whether it's a 250th celebration, whether it's um a wedding Betting proposal on Cruise Lake Tower, whether it's the you know prepping the field for that first T-ball

37:17hit, right, to maybe setting the nets for senior pickleball, to buying 2,000 acres at $60 million for conservation, to protecting a single wetland for an individual homeowner, or helping them relocate a gopher tortoise, to providing that. That first camper experience all the way to the camper, then transitioning to a counselor in training. I I could stay up here for a long time. So the team is very special.

37:48And tournaments, yes, as Mr. Thomas references it. But we we don't do it without a dedicated, really uh very, very professional team that cares, coming to work every day, doing the very best they can. So thank you to the team. I know not everyone's here, but thank you to all of them that are out there in the field doing the hard work every day.
