That that that was a celebration we're doing here today with all the great great great friends you have in the audience. Jesse, what a great career you've had, uh your great service and taking those extra steps which go far beyond probably led to all those awards and letters and saving us 135 grand a year. Um thank you for your great service. Thank you. Tell me tell us about what you got planned for the future.
Uh well this is kind of overwhelming. Uh you know, I I probably um you know talking with my wife we're just going to uh decompress for a for a little while. Um we have you know so many things that we'd like to do. Uh you know, I I I love the county. Uh I appreciate uh the fact that I got to work here for 20 years. Um I I I have a script and I'm not gonna go go into that, but uh um you know I I uh I worked for
25 years on my own before coming to the county, uh left New York, came down here. and my father-in-law, uh late father-in-law, bet my wife that uh I wouldn't last two weeks working for somebody. So uh that's uh that's a bet that uh I'm I'm glad he lost.
I I you know uh my thought is, you know, uh uh running out of time. You know, so I've gotta spend some time with uh my wife, my family, and um I'm going to miss coming to work every day. I'm going to miss the people that uh I've made good friends with. Um you know, I've got a lot of support from uh coworkers, teammates, uh uh from my my
superior my bosses over the years have been great. So um I'm I'm living I'm leaving on a happy note and um I'm s you know sad in one respect as well.
Uh I'm sure you're happy. I know Madam Clerk wanted to say a couple of words, so
I did. I was honored that I got to read your resolution today. Um when I be was an assistant county administrator. I I wanted to see what the day and life of facilities was like and and so uh Jesse gave me by far the best tour. He took me inside the walls of the jail and and who knew plumbing could be so exciting.
But um Jesse deserves all the awards and accolades he's he's gotten over the years. He's uh a kind man and a true public servant and you will be missed.
All right. And I'm I know you're gonna enjoy your family, that is most important. So you've earned the time to go do it, so I want you to enjoy it. Uh everybody who's all of the friends of Jesse, please come on up as well. We'll line you all up in here and then we'll stand down.
So Going down.
