Opioid settlements authorize accept Purdue and defendants
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

So uh I sorry Sorry, I didn't bring this up during my comments. Um we have gotten the receipt of two additional settlements in the opioid uh multidistrict litigation. Uh one ha is the the Purdue Sackler family, which has gotten a lot of press. Yeah. The other is about looks like uh six or eight other defendant smaller defendants. Um
The state has chang changed the company they have as the administrator. It's now a company called Rubris. Uh and so just in an abundance of caution, if I could get the board to authorize me to accept those settlements on your behalf. Um there electronic digital p forms that come in that An authorized person from Pasco County has to sign. I've been signing it under the old administrator, but since they've now changed the
administrator, I want to make sure that I get the board's uh permission to do that. I'll move.
Um but was there a second? Add two move. Okay. Which are you? All in favor?
Aye. Aye. Thank you.
So they settled the Purdue one exactly? 'Cause I thought there was a little craziness going on with the Purdue.
Um I got notice this last week that it that that is that that one has settled. Um again they don't They don't tell you what your breakdown of funding is until you until later they just give you the big number. Okay.
