Call meeting to order pledge roll call approve minutes

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

The source document

Published agenda

The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Sep 3, 2020

The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted — it is an image-only scan — so nothing in it is searchable here, but it reads normally.

Approved minutes

The county’s minutes for Planning Commission, Sep 3, 2020

The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.

What was said

Transcript

Machine transcription of 3m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 84% of 31 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.

All right. Now that everybody's in Communication. I'd like to call the meeting to order, the Higher Virtual Planning Commission meeting of September 3rd, 2020. I'd like to remind everyone, please silence all electronic devices and those who are attending virtually mute your microphones when not speaking.

At this time Like to stand for a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance.

Okay, gotcha. All right, there you are. All right, gotcha. All right.

So the Planning Commission is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice a month. Planning Commission serves as the local planning agency and the planning commission holds public clean hearings and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners. Recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests.

However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to the Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Land Development Code Amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important that you attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners meeting. I think we have uh one uh set of minutes for approval. So do I have a motion?
