Regular agenda format and three sections
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

What was said
Machine transcription of 3m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 100% of 9 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
All right, then uh I think we can get started with the regular agenda. And so I'll just go over the uh the way we operate the agenda for those of you who haven't been here before with the Planning Commission. We're appointed by the County Commissioners. We meet twice monthly. We serve as a local planning agency and we hold public hearing, transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. Commission
is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance exceptions, certain uh appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone is in opposition to any development code amendment, rezoning conditional uh use, or any item where we make a recommendation to To the County Commission, it's important for you to attend the appropriate County Commission meeting, which would follow
be a follow-on to this meeting. So we have those dates and times available. If you need that information, you can get it from our staff up here.
For those of you who are not familiar with the format of the meeting. We have three sections. We have continuances. That's where either the applicant or the county has requested a continuance for any number of reasons. And it's been our tradition to grant those continuance requests, unless there are extenuating circumstances that call for a different decision. But then we have consent items, and those are items that where applications have been made that. been no objections, there's
been no letters of objection, and there's never been nobody as far as we know that that has an objection to the application, then uh we'll listen to the application and we'll go through those one at a time. If we go through them and there's something there that you want to be heard, please raise your hand and we'll be glad to pull it from consent and put it on the regular agenda item. And those are the items that will be fully heard and talked about by the applicant and uh then responded to questions
asked by anybody in the audience or if they happen to be online. So uh those are the those are the three sections we um we allow the applicant um five minutes to present their uh presentation. We then we uh give the anybody that has questions or concerns three minutes to re to ask their questions about the application and then the applicant will have five minutes to respond. If
um Someone has requested additional time at least twenty four hours before this meeting. In writing we can give extra time, but I don't think I'm uh I don't think we have had any written requests, have we?
Mr. Chairman M
okay. So before we start the regular meeting, let's uh check your phones. Let's get them on the silent position so that we don't interrupt anybody when they're talking and let's uh just remember to address the issues involved and not the people involved. So uh Uh I think uh yeah I think we've covered it all. We have um m uh minutes to approve.
