National Community Planning Month recognition of Elizabeth Blair

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Elizabeth. Thank you, Mr. Chairman Mariano Spito's Planning Development. October's National Community Planning Month. And we wanted to uh make sure that we recognize and appreciate all the different people that uh participate in um the planning program here at Pasco County earlier this month. Um the Board of County Commissioners recognized the Planning Commission through a resolution. Uh we also were able to present an appreciation award to Mr. Goldstein. Today

I want to focus our appreciation attention on Elizabeth Blair, who is the Senior Assistant County Attorney. Elizabeth helps us uh in the planning and development department a lot. Um she works on uh at least in my most of my interactions with Elizabeth are happening through comprehensive plan amendments, which is a pretty big deal. So a lot of the work that uh you see as the local planning agency when you see the comprehensive plan amendments come forward. They're being developed by our team and Elizabeth is providing the legal support. to help us on

these very important uh planning matters. And she's been doing it for a long time and I think uh deserves quite a bit of uh recognition and gratitude and appreciation uh for her long service and dedication to the county and also to the planning program and the planning and development department uh here in Pasco. So so with that, we wanted to recognize Elizabeth with with a certificate of appropri of appreciation. And uh award her Our Premier Challenge Coin. Uh we have a recognition program here in Pasco

uh in the Planning and Development Department to provide recognition to team members who do exemplary work over long periods of time. And uh we wanted to appreciate Elizabeth and present it to her. Hey, Elizabeth Blair.

You have 30 minutes. I do.

attorney to the tourist development council

I'm Elizabeth Lair, Senior Assistant County Attorney. For some of you that don't know, I've been here since 1999 and I have always been involved with the planning department, previously known as our growth management department. And I have always been the person to handle annexations, comp plan amendments. I dabble sometimes in the zoning world, and I do um work with them on some other studies and special projects that they do as well. So I really do appreciate the recognition. I've seen a lot since 1999 happen in this county.

It's been tremendously growing and it looks like it will continue for quite some time. Oh thank you.

Charles Grey

Thank you, Elizabeth. Thank you, Elizabeth. Thank you.

You're reserving the rest of your time for

Mr. Mr. Chair, I'd just like to say I appreciate Elizabeth. We've done a lot of work together over the years and you know with some of the agreements we've had with the Um school district and course David and Elizabeth both both worked um tremendously on school concurrency when that came into effect. So thank you. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, David
