Jail transition and student art walk

2:13:47Okay, great. Um on the jail transition, the meetings that um you're having, if you have any few other future ones involving finance, payroll, operations that would impact the court, um Let's see. The

2:14:00court or the clerk?

2:14:02Well through the co I'm saying court because um the s the team over there would know if it impacts like trans transmitting data to the clericus system. So it's court related, like an arrest, that area. I would need to uh have one of my team members in those meetings um just to make sure and also um information technology. So anytime those meetings happen, I know that we were invited I think uh two weeks ago. ago to a finance and an IT meeting that went well and just want to include us on any future meetings.

2:14:33Um The uh the list of items to go through an audit, uh the transition audit to submit to the external auditors is was finalized today. We're gonna get it over and email it to um Eric Breitenbach and Dan Biles for them to look at and review to see if there's anything else to add into it and then send it out to the auditing firms for a quote and also to the Sheriff's Office. So just want to give an update on that. Two other items, some great things going on. Operation Stand Down took

2:15:03place this past weekend, and as part of that, on Friday, we have Veterans Court. It's a partnership with my office, the court, State Attorney and Public Defender, to help veterans get back on their feet. And there were a total of 10 veterans with 22 cases that we processed that day. There was a total or over. $14,000 that was waived and 12 driver's licenses were cleared to be reinstated. So it was a great, great, um, great day and a great effort on Operation Stand Down. Um

2:15:33another thing I wanted to mention, we had our student inspired art wash on Wednesday and Thursday of last week, Wednesday New Port Richey, Thursday Dade City. It was a a great turnout. The um the student-inspired art walk is a partnership with my office and the school board. And if you've ever been on the other side of the counter, other than the side that I'm on, it is a very very stressful situation. You're a very stressful time of your life, and the walls are very institutional looking, just

2:16:04plain white walls. So to bring some inspiration in there, some hope and Happiness, we partnered with the school board, and there's art teachers throughout the schools from kindergarten through 12th grade submit student artwork artwork to that we display on our walls and it makes it such a beautiful place to be at. We had 136 student artists participate in the art walk, and also there was 24 schools from kindergarten through 12th grade that participated the reception. Were wonderful.

2:16:34We had a lot of dignitaries there, Representative Ed Cooper, Representative Randy Maggard, our public defender Sarah Molo, our school board, uh Megan Harding, uh Colleen Bodwin, Allison Crumling, and School Superintendent Kurt Browning and Deputy School Superintendent Ray Gadd. So it was a great turnout, and just wanted to say if you're in the courthouse, you're looking at the artwork, take you know, take a moment, see who wrote see who um created the artwork, and then you can also write notes uh back to the students that we will take for you. Thank you. Okay.

2:17:05Madam Clerk, can I just respond? Yeah. I I do want to come in the clerk's office, and I'm not going to get into details, and it's not something bad, it was something good. But I did um I was at our office yesterday afternoon here in Dade City and your staff was awesome. So again, it wasn't a it's not a negative thing, I wasn't at the courthouse. We were that yeah, we were yeah, we were we saw some pictures too. Yeah, so but we're I was yeah, it was we were just g getting some uh doc note documentation and things like that d done and taken care of. All good stuff. But um

2:17:35yeah, you guys your staff was awesome. Just wanna let you know. And I know they were shorthanded for unfortunate reasons, I was told. Absolutely. They were very pleasant and and uh everybody was very satisfied. So thank you.
