Call to order, pledge, roll call, approve minutes
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Okay, so um just so that some of you have may not have been here before I want to say that the Planning Commission is appointed by the appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and we meet twice a month. We serve as the local planning agency and we hold public hearing. And transmit to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, land of uh land uh rezoning
and conditional use requests and the Planning Commission is the final decision making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone if anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan or land development code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important
for you to attend the Board of County Commissioners meeting as well. And we have a list of those dates if you need them. For those of you who are not familiar with the uh sequence in the of the meetings, we have three sections. We have continuances, we have consent, and we have regular items. Uh we'll go through the continuances uh uh one at a time and If uh as they're called out If you want that uh particular
item heard if you want to discuss it or have something you want to say about it, questions, raise your hand and we'll pull it from consent and it'll go on to the regular items. Um We have also continuances and that will be where the typically the staff or the applicant has requested a continuance for any number of reasons and it's been our tradition to approve those continuance requests unless there are extenuating circumstances. Applicants will have three p three minutes to present their uh
Their application and the objectors or questioners will have three minutes to state their concerns. So following the statement of concerns, the applicant will have an opportunity to come back up and typically have a five-minute period to respond to those concerns. There's been any requests at least 24 hours prior to this meeting in writing for additional time that time may be granted and uh I think we had
one, didn't we? Denise?
Yes, Mr. Chair. Um item P seven has been granted 30 minutes of time.
