County attorney opioid settlement with Walmart authorization

Um and according to the email that I received Um the proposed settlement comprises of two hundred and fifteen million dollars in cash and dispensing Six hundred and seventy-two

1:32:06Noxalon kits for first responders. Um And would Seek the board's authorization for me to sign the settlement documents that have been tendered by outside council.

I was talking to Kathy Pearson this past week and I I don't think we've got any money yet and I'm just wondering what the status is because you know with Commissioner Fitzpatrick's presentation, we've talked about putting a building in to deal with mental health and opio deduction, but I I would like to see the opioid task force actually take that No,

1:33:27But it's but but w I wanna know if if the money's not there then so be it. But is the money gonna be released? Are we better off partnering with the state?

1:33:35So the email that I received on November tenth was That the

1:33:43Big three distributor settlement, which was Jansen Teva, Allergen, um would be hitting our online accounts in the next seven to ten days. So by the end of November we should be seeing the first amount of money that of those settlements.

1:34:13Yeah, the the all of the settlements so far have been have been calculated to be over a I think it's an eighteen year period that that we will be getting yearly distributions for.
