I um Well, just letting the commission know that um I visited with um Sheriff Brady Judd in Poe County the other day and walked through his uh memorial that they had for the fallen officer memorial going into the Sheriff's Office in Poe County. And it made me wonder because it's been about two years since they've talked about the fallen officer memorial here in Pasco, which I was expecting to be done by now. So I've uh reached out to friends and
um found out that they still lack about eighty thousand dollars to finish this project. And I've taken on myself, uh myself and my friend uh Randy Blankenship and his wife Shannon. We've been calling numbers and we've gotten um twelve people giving five thousand dollars a piece and we've raised sixty thousand to date since last Thursday. Wow. And um we will find some other friends to finish that up and start getting that memorial prepared for
us. So excellent. Um It's it's something I think is very much needed and it's taken several years to get here. So um But it touched my heart when I saw those memorials and those bronze statues of officers that had fallen over in Poe County. Uh one of them everybody knows about is one officer and his his dog that um His statue there in bronze and uh the dog also that got killed and it were made, I
guess Sheriff Grady Judge got famous when he said they ran out of bullets. So but um they were out there to protect that officer and other officers in the area when that convict was loose and um Made everybody get in harm's way. But those kind of things need to be recognized and I think this needs to be finished for Pasco County. And I'm going to work until I get it finalized and we'll we'll have a big memorial right here at uh 301 and meridian. One day near hopefully
