25:34Go ahead and read the resolution. Resolution number 22-039, a resolution by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, commending the Honorable William G. Sustek for over 28 years of dedication to Pasco County and congratulating him on his retirement. whereas it is appropriate that we should honor those jurists who evidenced d Who evidenced devotion to the law and our justice system throughout their years on the bench. And Raz, Judge William G. Sustack, is

26:04one such noteworthy jurist who served Pasco County with distinction upon his election as county court judge in January 1993 and recently took his much-deserved retirement.

26:19Court judge in his former capacity as partner in the law firm of McLean and Sestac, and his service as a pup assistant public defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, managing the Newport Ritchie office, Judge Sestak held the principle of justice with dignity. ANRAZ during his tenure, Judge Sestak also served as the Pasco County Court Administrative Judge, Pasco County Canvassing Board Chairman, and Pasco County Public Safety Committee Member. ANRAZ Judge Sestak

26:50was instrumental in the institution and implementation of several administrative changes and creation of programs such as Local Ordnance Violation, Code Enforcement Court, Pasco Sheriff's Operation Payback Program, Pasco County probation office and Pasco County Civil Traffic Hearing Officer program. And Raz, throughout his Estimate. Uh Judge William Sestack. demonstrated the utmost professionalism, ability, and integrity, winning the respect and admiration of his fellow

27:20members of the bench and bar. and parties appearing before his court and the citizens of Pasco County. Now therefore, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners of Pasco County, Florida, that said Board hereby commends Honorable William G. Sestack for over twenty eight years of faithful, dedicated service to the citizen of Pasco County, congratulating him on his retirement and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors. 27:59Well, as you know, as you are uh representatives of Pasco County, it's been my honor and privilege, as I'm sure it's your honor and privilege, to serve the citizens of Pasco County. I couldn't have been here and done what I've done without my colleagues uh support and ha and And uh Help. uh staff. I see Tracy from our probation office here. Uh the best moments I've had as a county court judge was chairman of the County Canvassing

28:29Board uh for 20 years. Um my privilege and I see Brian Corley and and his staff here and I want to thank him. Uh he does run the best election office in the state of Florida. And finally, I would like to thank two people specifically and most importantly, it's my wife Patty. She has kept me anchored in this sea of life. and uh made sure that when I hit the door coming home from court She reminded me that I'm not the judge

29:00as I come through the court or come through the door. And last but as important is my best friend Dan Dwyer, who's here. He's kept me anchored. Um You know, sometimes as you do, probably as you're driving home, you want to stick your head out the window and just scream to get it out. Dan has been my vent and I wanna thank him very, very much for that. And I wanna thank each of you. and uh certainly uh our clerk. Mickey, thank you. Um

29:43Okay. Good. Gotcha. I Judge, it it was an honor to serve As your counsel for the canvassing board and teaching me about what the canvassing board was when I first got here. Um, I do have an email from Ms. Sims, and she was not able to be here. Um I'm sorry we I'm we are not there personally to honor Judge Sesteck tomorrow. Will you please pass on our personal gratitude to Judge Judge Sestak? for

30:13the respect, support, and sense of humor which he governed our cases before him. We each learned a tremendous amount from him and grown and grown as advocates through our practice in his courtroom. He generously gave us court time and the creative latitude to use di different enforcement approaches on difficult and complex matters. and his forthright manner never left us guessing what was expected of us or witnesses we presented in the courtroom. We

30:44are also very lucky to have had an opportunity to practice before him and wish to thank him personally for his wisdom and guidance over the past

30:58And I say, Judge, I've always heard very, very positive things from canvassing as well as uh the code enforcement team. It's been a very important issue for us as we try to make this county as good as it can. And your leadership uh has been phenomenal for us. So thank you again. Thank you.

31:49But we do appreciate all your sacrifices. You know, being being elected to office, especially to be honest with you, a judge is a huge sacrifice. Um, there's so many opportunities for for attorneys. And I'm just being honest. I mean, some, you know. You really sacrifice a lot to work endless hours for the community of people of Pasco County when in reality. Our judges in general could be somewhere probably making millions and millions of dollars. But they chose to serve and they chose to serve our

32:19constituents. So for that, we're very, very grateful for you and thank you for your service. Thank you.

It is um it it's beautiful to
