Commercial vehicle parking in neighborhoods

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Uh what I'd like to talk about, because I've been pretty outspoken about traffic, parking, cars in these neighborhoods or forty and fifty foot lots. Since Christmas is over and the holidays are over. My neighborhood where I live have pinch foot lots in it. has cleaned up somewhat. I don't know if somebody's out there heard me and they've talked to people, but the traffic and the parking has gotten better, but we still have some there's some area they're still working

on. So I expect commercial vehicles there, but in the older area that's already been complete for a long time. On my street, we have three commercial vehicles parked in the street.

StarkeyChair

I

Oakley

don't know. It's odd, you know, somebody's business, whatever, they're parking in the street and rather than a driveway or whatever. So it's there. One's a van truck, it's it's there. You mean a

StarkeyChair

residential person is parking?

Oakley

A commercial

vehicle.

Oakley

They're not supposed to do that. Or they have a business location. So their trucks there. They're they're a moving van truck. So But uh the other a lot of the other traffic that I've been seeing there and the crowdiness of it. It's kind of somebody's either said something Without my knowledge, because It's kind of cleaned up. It's it's actually better than what I first spoke about. And hopefully it'll stay that way. And and I've talked to David Ghostie and others about issues with 40 foot lots and 50

foot lots about about parking, about these neighborhoods. So we just want to make sure that emergency vehicles can come and go freely and people that live there can come and go freely.

StarkeyChair

You

know,

this this is a conversation that I had with Terry and someone um yesterday. So uh on our side of the County probably more than yours. We have these older neighborhoods that had the s one car garages and and they may have five cars pulled up onto their grass and it looks horrible. Yeah.

Oakley

But they're they're addressing that for the new development.

StarkeyChair

Well, I yeah, I I would love to see if we could say in If there's any way we could regulate the new stuff, not I don't know how we go back. Well they're working on wording for that. I want to say that you can't park on the grass and you're uh you have to be in a parking you have to be in the driveway or your garage. Yeah. You shouldn't be parking on the grass. Right. And so however we can make that rule. I I'm all for that. Um okay, so now we're gonna take our photo. Are we done? Oh
