Jasmine Golden Acres Little Road
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Feb 20, 2025
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 4m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 87% of 52 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
I know there's gotta be some opposition to the Jasmine. I
wondered about it. I was explaining to who was it I was talking to? Oh it was um Will. I was explaining to Will Vermillion that for many, many, many, many, many years that was kind of sacred ground.
Yeah, we talked about that when we made the resailers. Way back in the olden days a lot of commissioners and kind of the who's who of the town lived in golden acres and so that was sacred ground. We didn't describe that. No, no. And Little Road used to be something called Plaza Drive. which was the main road through
golden eagles. Yeah that was ep
that was ebb and so
that was the old uh Yeah.
So
you never know it's like we uh 'cause we've talked about those things.
Don't screw with that.
But ultimately I think the board well I think uh Yes, and the board I know I voted no on that one here because there was a dispute about C one or C two use. Public hearing
I think all of
that, but ultimately the board agreed
in terms of the the uh conditions.
Okay. So I think the intent is that we're willing to look at that. But
I can tell you this
vertical
that Walgreen store. I worked for Olympia Development Group where the group built the Walgreens
store.
That Walgreens store has never performed as I mean I think Proforma. It has been a crap store and it's on the list of it.
So you guys are like a list. Yeah, I mean you'd think
with all the traffic was.
It's not the same demographics as it's a property.
Microplenty of this M P
two
is like Spire before it never gets built. Oh my gosh.
Yeah.
Is it that Amazon facility? Is it a little bit of a few? I think the guy that got the corner
in Jazz. Yeah, it's a robotic. Speculator, and that's what I think this one is gonna be too.
Yeah, although they have a binding the commuters are talking about it. Oh, we're gonna get all these jobs. Uh just a bunch
of
machines running around building
cars. Yeah, I don't know how much I mean it's about my whole three
or three.
Yeah, if there are a hundred jobs it creates or what? Massive facility, so it's right, right. Yeah. Three or four stories or something like that. So it's a massive, massive structure. Yeah.
Right exactly. Yeah. Well there's always a human element too.
Stuff on paper. Right, yeah. It's like how many is that a hundred people that's kinda in charge of them or
speak in this meeting. I did watch a video on that. It was kinda really interesting. They know one of the robotics facilities and
the robots kinda go out and grab everything and bring it back and there's still kinda human element of that taking it and they're putting it in. Okay, it's okay. At some of their facilities that's gonna kinda move away from that now too, but really cool stuff. I know.
And if you just sort of uh Close your eyes and say no, that can't happen. Oh you denying reality. I didn't know there was five people anyway. That is for sure. Yeah.
When you do the continuance.
I mean be the guy or
girl that fixes those.
Okay.
Hey John. Hey David.
How
are you?
Uh well if the meeting would be long enough for him, but you got enough for a five hour meeting there, I think. We need him, unfortunately.
Patrick said that's not allowed, he's got plenty of ball.
Three items on the agenda the other day, two of them continued 'cause we still had a seven hour meeting.
Uh-huh. That was
real
bad. Exactly.
