Clerk thanks CARES check processing team
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Board of County Commissioners, Jul 14, 2020

What was said
Machine transcription of 2m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 100% of 8 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
Okay. Um Madam Clerk. Anything on your side?
Yes, um I wanted to thank um Kathy Kathy in regards to um the recognition for the CARES Act money and our our office is working really well together. It is um a perfect example of not just multiple departments working well together but multiple agencies working well together for the benefit of our our citizens. It has um been pretty labor intensive. And um I know on both sides and um I I greatly appreciate the the recognition for my team as
well as for yours and and the other departments as well. Um our office has been processing checks every single day. And from the time that we get the packet from the county, um from the time of processing to the time of the check cutting, it is less than two business days that we are turning that around. Yep, yep. Right. Um and it has been long hours for both the county as well as as my office, but we know that it is to help our citizens. So we're all in and we're all in it together. And to kind of give you an example,
a application could be from five pages to 60 pages and it entails a lot of detail and information and double checking and it also entails fielding phone calls from the applicant. Wondering where it's the status of get getting paid. Can I get a copy of the check because they want it for their records? To calling the vendors, ensuring that the payment information is correct and answering any questions. So it has been a lot of work, but it has been extremely beneficial, I think, both for our offices and in uh working well together as well as to our community.
So I just wanted to say it's just been it was it's a shiny example of government working well for its. community. Well,
excellent. Thank you.
Very proud of everybody.
Okay, um I just I do have a couple things that I need to bring up. First, I'm gonna um look at I gotcha, buddy. Um
