Oakley updates fallen officer memorial donations

What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Yeah, there's an update that I think. There's an update on the memorial but it's more appropriate for Commissioner Oakley because of all his hard work and efforts he's put into it to actually do that. So I'm gonna let him do the update on the memorial at the historic courthouse.

Ron Oakley

All right, thank you. I uh I know I brought it to your attention about two weeks ago that uh I had uh started a donation promise from uh about 18 people, five grand a piece, and that's gonna give us enough money to finish the uh fallen officer memorial. So once I collect that money and all and get it to the committee that's in charge of that then that should come to provision. So about

a week and a half to to draw that at least ninety thousand. I hope there will be a little bit more than that some week. Yeah. Collect the money. So It's very good. Very good for the county. And I've already gotten some calls from the city police. I'm sure uh and the sheriff himself getting this done. So We'll see that in every

Thank you, sir. That's great. Thank you for all your efforts and all your work on that, Commissioner. I know it's very well, very well res um Um I'm reading and talking at the same time. I apologize. Appreciated by everybody. So thanks so much. And uh the clerk's office, uh Madam Clerk, you do need a clarification for the record on AR1.

Kathryn Starkey

Right. So AR one um was in regards to the trim notice, and it was additional materials that were filed, and it was um related to R five, which was passed. So I just want to make sure that it's on the record. that AR one was received as well since it was on the agenda. That's all.
