Yeah, just real quick, I want to give a shout out to our Parks Department. A couple of things. First and foremost, they uh recently won from the Southwest District of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection a Stewardship Achievement Award recognizing their conservation district. For over 25 years of conservation achievements, whether that's the ELAMP program, acquisition of property program, uh regulatory protection, as well as just uh waterways protections and progress. And it's and it's just beautiful. I had the occasion actually to be out at With Lakuchi Park
um this past weekend doing a doing a trail run 10K, and actually it's it's um Everything looks amazing. They activated the spaces well, but it was also done for a cause and an awareness. And something actually I want to give a shout out to Commissioner Weightman on this is because the the event was about suicide and suicide awareness. And uh, you know, Commissioner Weightman, you'd come to us a couple months ago talking about collaborating with the school board and that uh you know there's really an epidemic in our in our schools with with young people. So we've collaborated with the school board to train, especially as we get into Summer programs.
Over 250 counselors, our full-time people, our part-time folks, on on what to look for in in order to help help prevent that. So again, not only is our are our parks guys just busy out there conserving, activating spaces and stuff, they're doing good for the community just through through awareness and other programs. So I just want to thank you for bringing that to our attention, Commissioner, and just thank the board for its its support of our parks. Thank you.
Well and Mike, thank you for putting the team together and helping them go because you know we when you get families that want to go out and they have fun together, it's good, it's just quality of life and uh people voted for it, they told us what they wanted and I think we're doing a good job delivering, we'll be keeping going. Mm-hmm.
