What the county recorded

This item is not from the published agenda

It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.

Yes, um I have a couple of things. So at um Um at one community now's event we had Operation Standout on Friday, which um it part of it is veterans court and we work with the state attorney public defender and the judicial circuit to those veterans that have court obligations uh to come and we assisted um on 73 cases where veterans were involved. um waived over twenty uh

seven I'm sorry, twenty seven thousand dollars and twenty five veterans left with driver's licenses. So it was it was a great, great event. Just love being part of that. And then um earlier in the month um we held our Operation Greenlight and that's for all motorists who driver's license have been suspended because they haven't paid on a court obligation. And we pull the cases from collections, uh waive collection fees and to allow

them to get back on their feet. Um we waived over uh sixty thousand dollars to allow for that and um almost six hundred is five hundred and ninety-three driver's licenses were made eligible for reinstatement through that program so another great a great program and then last week with my favorite It's program that we do and it is in partnership with Pasco County Schools where kindergartners through twelfth grade artwork gets displayed on the walls of the judicial centers.

And if you've ever been to the Judicial Center and you're on the other side of the counter from us, it is a very stressful time in your life. And to come into a building where you just have the blank walls, it can be very intimidating. And then if you have the walls filled with beautiful artwork from beautiful student artists, so what we do is we host the student artist annually, the new artwork goes up and we We have the program as part of the program. We have music from our high schoolers or middle schoolers, and

we had a jazz band from Pasco High School here in Dade City and Land O' Lakes High School in Newport Ritchie. So as you're walking around enjoying the looking at all the artwork, you get to hear the beautiful music, and then we celebrate all the student artists with cupcakes, and it was it's just a fantastic. If you're ever able to come, please do. It's every April. We had 336 student artists throughout the county. We had 38 schools participating, so

very, very excited. Thank you. Okay, wonderful.
