Thank you, Mr. Chairman Mariano. What an exciting time to be in District Four with Moffat Cancer Center. Uh the Lord has been blessing me with that. Uh I uh Got a little story to tell you about Lee Moffat. Many, many years ago I had a different job, he had a different job and Yeah, a flat tire on I two seventy five heading up or seventy five heaving heading up to Tallahassee to become a the Speaker of the House. I pulled
over and I helped the guy change his tire. Probably the wisest thing I ever did.
And now look at us. So I uh I thought about that the other day and uh Moffat is gonna transform Pasco. Just think of the excitement if we find a cure or when we find a cure for cancer right here in Pasco County. That will change lives. That will extend far beyond us up here. You down there, our kids Our grandkids and We all should
be very proud of that. Uh and I know I am very excited about that. That's the first thing. Second thing? Small businesses is definitely where it's at. So the economic engine of this county? Uh all the numbers provided uh Uh indicate that? We do need to revitalize the areas that have been neglected. And we're doing that. Uh I'm excited about
in my area New Port Richey. They're doing some great things over there. County needs to be a partner. With our city partners, not a hindrance. We all should be on the team together because together we win. And divided we fail. So we have to We have to make sure that our vision that we're talking to all the stakeholders in the game. And we come up with a comprehensive plan. The
other thing is I gotta tell ya I I'm I'm pretty tired of fast food restaurants on State Road fifty four. Thank you very much. I don't know how to say it any more eleg eloquently than that. But uh I hear about that every night from my wife. Uh so we have a lot to do. We really have a lot to do. So I couldn't be more grateful to be up here. Uh I want to thank the chair for the committee assignments
that he gave me. Um some of 'em I'm uh well I should say some all of them I'm very excited to get involved with and I appreciate your support and I appreciate your confidence in me. Thank you. My pleasure. Um
