I'd like to welcome everybody today. Uh we're the Planning Commission and we're appointed by the County Commissioners. We meet twice a month. We serve as a local planning agency and hold public hearings and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners our recommendations on the comprehensive planning amendments, rez rezoning. And conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions. Certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests.
However, our final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone is in opposition to any development code amendment, rezoning conditional use, or any item where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the board meeting. We have those dates available. Those of you aren't who are not familiar with the uh substance of the meetings, we have
three sections, continuances, consent items, and regular items. We'll go through the uh consent items uh and as we go through them uh when we call them out if there's something on consent that you'd like to have heard today. Raise your hand and we'll pull it from consent and put it on with the regular items. Um then we have uh continuances. If there's been a request from the staff or the applicant for continuance from any number of reasons,
it's been our custom to approve them unless they're unusual circumstances. And then regular items, those are items that are not on consent or or are asking to be continued, and they'll be part of our discussion today. So you'll have a chance to hear those. Applicants will have five minutes to make their presentation. And questionnaires will have three minutes to ask their questions, and then the applicant will
have an opportunity to come up and try to respond to those questions.
