We serve as a local planning agency and we hold public hearing. and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners. Recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments, rezoning, and conditional use requests. Planning commission is commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions.
Certain appeals, various request various uh variance requests, and certain alternative standard requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. Anyone is in opposition? Come on in. Land Development Code amendment, rezoning, conditional use, or any item. where the Planning Commission transmits a recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners It's important for you to attend the following Board of County Commissioners. We have those meetings uh and
the dates and so forth available to you. Uh you can pick 'em up from any of the p staff members here up front. Um It's also I believe online. For those of you not familiar with the format of the meetings. I'll just go over those with you briefly so you'll know how it's how it's gonna work. Uh we have three sections. We have continuances, we have consent agenda. And we have regular items. Uh on the continuances. We'll go through those and
Any prop any requests for continuance that are presented to us by the staff or request through the applicant. Uh it's been our custom to approve those continuances unless there are Unusual or extenuating circumstances. It would then we have the consent agenda. We'll go through the consent agenda item by item by item. As I go through those items, if you have something on consent agenda that you hear that you'd like to speak about or you'd have a comment about. Raise your hand and we
can pull it off consent agenda and put it on the regular agenda. So um If we once we go through the consent agenda, anything that remains on that agenda We'll vote on at one time and move on to the regular items. Regular items are those items that are not either not on consent or not on cons on the uh continuances and um Those will be vetted uh fully for discussion. You'll have an opportunity to come up and speak. And uh we
ask that you Uh be respectful. To those who are speaking. And also respect both to members of the board when you're speaking to the board. And um That's that's very important. We wanna try to accomplished. We want to try to hear everything you have to say so that we can take those those thoughts and concerns into account when we make our decision.
