County Administrator employee appreciation update

2:28:24Commit County Administrator. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I just want to add to that thank you for attending yesterday's Employee Appreciation Day. It was a fantastic event. It's been a while since we've done one countywide. So I'd especially like to thank you know our parks department and and the the the team of folks that volunteered. They they do have day jobs that that volunteered to kind of help pull this together. Uh the leadership team for getting together and and demonstrating what it means to be servant leaders. uh across this organization. So just thank you to to them and to our team.

2:28:55Uh hopefully if you were out there you got to see the new tower out at Cruise Lake. If you didn't it's brand new, three stories, ADA accessible. It's it's been a little while since the original tower was torn down, so we're pretty proud of that. Also, just on a public service announcement uh phase here, as I as I was leaving uh the event yesterday, our our fire rescue crews were out there putting out putting out a little fire on the side of uh the Sun Coast Parkway. Um yeah, just a little bit of a little bit of a brush fire, but in my discussions with them we've brush fires are picking

2:29:25up, so just as as the weather is dry this time of year, we're warming up. It's getting windy, just uh be advised that brush fires are are a danger and a hazard and a threat and uh but our fire rescue guys are are out there taking care of business. So

2:29:41So it was deliberate then, huh?
