Call to order, moment of silence, pledge, roll call
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
This archive found it in the recording: a call to order, a recess, or business the board never listed. The county recorded nothing about it, so everything below is our reading.
The source document
The county’s agenda for Planning Commission, Jul 8, 2021
The published PDF. Its text could not be extracted, because it is an image-only scan, so nothing in it is searchable here. It still reads normally.
The county’s minutes for Planning Commission, Jul 8, 2021
The published PDF, as served by the county. This item is one entry in it.
What was said
Machine transcription of 3m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 78% of 18 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
Okay, Vanisha, are we ready? Okay. So we'd like to call the meeting to order and we'll have a moment of silence and then the Pledge of Allegiance.
I pledge allegiance to the
flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
That's the first day.
All right, Madam Clerk, we have the roll call.
Jamie Girardi?
He's absent.
Don Anderson.
Here.
Peter Hansel? Roberto Scies. Christopher Poole.
Chris Williams. Chairman Charles Graham.
Here. And I don't believe we have any minutes to approve, is that correct?
That's correct.
All right. So would you like to read this proof of publication?

Thank you very much.
Okay, so I'd like to welcome everyone. It's here today. The Planning Commission is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. We meet twice monthly. The Planning Commission serves as a local planning agency. Planning Commission holds public hearings and transmits to the Board of County Commissioners recommendations on comprehensive plan amendments, land development code amendments. Resigns and conditional use requests. The Planning Commission is the final decision-making body for special exceptions, certain appeals, variance requests, and certain alternative standard
requests. However, final decisions may be appealed to the Board of County Commissioners. If anyone is in opposition to any comprehensive plan amendment, land development code amendment, rezoning, or conditional use for any item, whether the Planning Commission transmits their recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners, it's important for you to attend the appropriate Board of County Commissioners meeting.
