Economic Development in River Pasco County. I am proud to be here today. Today I walked in the door in Pasco County in 2018, I was attracted to my planning. I was attracted to the planning initiatives that were set forth in your strategic plan. And you have not failed me. In uh February of two thousand twenty-four. The board had in my tenure the first workshop dedicated to planning. The Lord dictated the following and directed us to do. We want a balanced

community. We want a fiscally and sustainable community. We want to preserve our ecosystem and environment. And we wanna create places where people can gather and be part of the community and create sensible place. And we're doing that today. And since 2024 in that workshop, we protected our trees. We've enhanced our uh architectural and contact centric development. We provided Billion uh over a billion dollars. capitalized

uh road improvements that'll be on that are scheduled for the next five years. With over two hundred and twenty new main models of capacity. We are doing the job and you've given us the tools and we appreciate you. We are finishing up the Pasco 2050 initiative, which will be the framework of our full build-out. That Pasco twenty fifty has a lot of things that it that people and we invite the public to participate and understand. We're not changing the world. We are

enhancing what we already have. Guaranteed. We're all done. Over 30% of this county will be permanent open space. We will have suburban. We will have. urban, we will have rural neighborhoods. This county is a microcosm of Florida and I'm proud to be here. Thank you. I'd like to turn this over to uh Nectarios Pitos, our Planning

I just want to take a moment on behalf of the Planning Services team. And if I can, the Development Use Services team to thank the Board of County Commissioners, our residents, for the opportunity to help plan for our county's future. Um planning is more is more than maths, land use, development regulations, as you know. It's about listening to our community, understanding its needs and making thoughtful decisions about the county we want to become. Um Under Mr. Angel's leadership, PDE has held many public workshops throughout the county and

undertaken unprecedented outreach. to develop new plans like the Pasco 2050 Comprehensive Plan Update that we have been working on, and even other projects, new projects like Moon Lake revitalization efforts. Uh uh begun. I also want to take a moment to recognize the County Administrator, Mr. Kalala. This is the County Administrator, Mr. David Allen, Planning Development Leadership, beginning with Mr. David Angela and Mr. Patrick Dutter. Well. And the County Attorney's Office, Mr. David Gulstein

and his uh staff. Further support and collaboration, particularly with my team, Planning Services.
