Thank you, Mr. Chair. As the board may be aware, on October 10th, the Governor did update uh his uh declaration uh for Hurricane uh ECIA to include Pasco County uh as well as a number of uh items related to dengue fever. So this board obviously acted well in advance um and showed regional leadership by executing a local state of emergency uh for dengue fever. Um given given that the hurricane was there, we did do some preparatory actions um as well as the dengue fever. I

went ahead and you know after consultation with uh with chair and vice chair to go ahead and execute a local state of emergency on on October tenth. I've since extended uh that local state of emergency on October seventeenth and intend to continue to extend it as long as dengue fever continues to remain uh a threat. In the area. Just as a as a matter of support, since we did have public comment on it this morning, as Commissioner Weightman mentioned, Florida Department of Agriculture Services has been great to uh to work with. We we have

received uh aid uh and we'll be funneling that over to Mosquito Control. Uh working very hard with our Department of Health uh partners, Mosquito Control, uh even within our own group, homelessness initiatives are team. Teams are reaching out to homelessness uh folks, um as well as not for profits handing out Uh mosquito repellent and and uh taking taking action, whether it's tire drives, uh as you saw in Moon Lake, to try to kind of stop stop the spread. We really only have four confirmed cases now in the county, which is good, and the number of suspected

cases uh seems to be trending downward, which is a good which is a good sign. So the uh the efforts uh that we've taken both on the public education um uh side of the house as well as As just the active spraying that's been going on seems to be seems to be taking root. And just as a reminder, tomorrow at 10 o'clock over at Wendell Crine, we will be having the Two Good Souls presentation to the School Board. That is a charitable organization that we do take part in countywide.

And it's it's a great time. I know our constitutional officers will be out there, so just I invite you. You, if you have the time, if it's not already on your calendar, and that's all I have.
