Mike Carballa Stormwater project. Project is a different is a different one. There was actually money set aside from ARPA funds that we were going to do a park co-located with the stormwater project. I believe there were. Some some Swift Mud funds, but that would have been for the stormwater project.
- R51Stormwater Management Master Plan Update – No Funding Required
Mike Carballa You'll you'll recall when the When the original stormwater assessment was increased maybe eight or nine years ago, uh the intent of that was a pay as you go program. And by that I just mean you you saved the money and when you had the money you did the projects. Uh alternatives to that are to bond revenues and and move forward with with debt issuance. Uh that was one of the one of the things that I've asked the team to look at as a result of this plan so we can get more done quicker um and and use the stormwater assessment to fund the debt service. So those are things that we will we will need to be looking at. Um you know this is This is a list of fifteen, but I looked at the list. There's easily
- County administrator closing remarks and walk-on items
Mike Carballa Thank you. Uh first board I appreciate all the accolades towards the team here. I know it's it's certainly appreciated and they they know you support them, so I thank you for that. Three three really quick things. First, Commissioner Weightman, to your earlier points and your comments, I think it was very, very thoughtful conversation, and you're right, it is a sticky wicket when it comes to uh approved development and and those things on the books. However, I would just like to Remind the board too that we have the stormwater master plan that is underway. Mr. Mickle and I spoke extensively during the during the course of the storms about accelerating the pace of of that to try to get answers and projects on the books that hopefully we will be able to bond in the future to To make real real progress. But also I wonder, and I'm just I'm just kind of throwing this out to the board here, is that there are a number of stormwater regulations, Swift MUD regulates and things out there, if it would be good to perhaps use one of our workshop sessions to sit down and talk about stormwater regulations, what's out there and educate and and you

Mike Carballa I mean I I would I it's for your stormwater utility, I mean it's it's good to have a plan. It's good to have a plan that's adopted, especially if you're gonna go to to markets uh for funding. Uh that it's important. Now whether uh uh an item is number twenty on the list or number two on the list. I'm not sure what they want is is, you know, do you have the analysis to back the deed for the projects and has the governing body adopted that plan?
