Kathryn StarkeyChair

Clarification of the approved publication that was for the July 15th, 2025 edition or 2020 June, July 2015, Board of County Commissioners meeting where it was continued to tonight.

Amy Heiler

Thank you. Okay, I'll go with the next consent item, P forty, which is PDE.

Unidentified speakerVoice A

Is there anybody at

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Yes, and I ha I just have a quick question. Um and then we'll see if there's someone that has public comment. Um I was told in my meeting that there was a multi-use trail path on this road, but There is no road section and I know it calls for typical some typical road sections. I just don't have those memoirs.

There it is. It's that ginormous one.

Planning and Development staff

William Vermillion Planning Development Economic Growth. This is the one forty two AA typical phase one. This is for Kiefer. Has the uh the multi or the the sidewalks in the first portion and then the seventy AA that will be internal to the development for New River Boulevard with the eight foot multi use paths.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Right. Can you go back to the other one for a second? I'm just so curious. Is is this is this like one day gonna be three lanes each way? Is I mean why do we have a twenty nine foot landscape area?

Planning and Development staff

This will be a total of four lanes in the future and those sidewalks will be expanded to twelve feet into the landscape area.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Oh I'm just looking here. They're only five feet. Th there's no multi use path on this?

Planning and Development staff

For for phase one. Yes, ma'am. It the roads to be developed in two phases. This is just the first roadway typical section that was adopted in V OPH. And so the second phase of this widens both sidewalks as well as to the four lane. And

Kathryn StarkeyChair

that makes no sense to me. Why are we putting why are we gonna come in and tear up a sidewalk? Why aren't we putting the multi-use path down one side? There's plenty of room. Why would we tear something up? And make make it so that you cannot cycle somewhere.

Planning and Development staff

Sure, there there is the bike lanes within this typical section which is

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Are you gonna let your kids ride in that bike lane?

If I if

Planning and Development staff

I if I had to do that.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

You gonna put your baby stroller in that bike lane?

Planning and Development staff

It no. If I had kids, no. Uh unfortunately this is the the phasing that's set out within the enabling document of the V O P H Planning and Policy Committee.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

I never noticed that Did that no one ever catch that there's no multi use path on this when we have ten, fifteen, thirty-five feet of right away, which someone crossing the street's gonna literally have to run.

That is thirty ten thirty f twenty thirty forty forty five forty five feet when you start to cross I mean literally you're gonna have to run across the street.

Unidentified speakerVoice B

Madam Chair, if I might. Yeah.

Jack MarianoVice Chair

Could we just pull this and bring Bring it back.

Unidentified speakerVoice B

I don't think there's anybody else here, so might as well just get it out. Uh Clark Hobby, Hobby and Hobby One O Nine North Breast Street, Tampa, Florida. For your benefit, uh we are actually building the seventy AA on for Keefer with a twelve foot multi-use path. Okay,

Kathryn StarkeyChair

this is the right now. This is the one four.

Unidentified speakerVoice B

That's just the typical we had to actually create A different cross section for Kiefer on this one, and it had to do with some of the constraints of the old right-of-way out there and where the school's right-of-way edge was. We're actually building it on this one, but you're raising a good issue in that. The that is the typical section that you see on the 142s and uh Mr. Uren has told us on several other projects, including Kenton and on uh McKendry,

that he would rather have the county pay us to go ahead and build both of the multi-use paths up front. So we're actually starting to do it and the county might want to look at the sections it uses. I don't disagree with you. I don't like the on street uh bike lanes myself. Um but that's what's in your comp plan, just so you know. Anyway, on this one we actually solved it working cooperatively with staff on it.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

It's it's just it's such a wide tree s uh road um

Unidentified speakerVoice B

cross section.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Cross section. I I I don't know where I've ever seen this. Really it's I don't know how we came up with this, but

Unidentified speakerVoice B

Well, I think uh Mr. Urin is looking at maybe reducing a number of these very wide ones, but he's also attuned to the multi use path issue also. Okay.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Um when it gets widened to four, does it go to the inside or does it go to the outside? Because we have a thirty two feet on the inside. So, I mean Well you can line that thing with pickleball courts. Um What which way does it widen? Does anyone know?

Planning and Development staff

Gener behind the inside of the PC. Generally depending on the right-of-way constraints, it's at the inside.

Kathryn StarkeyChair

Okay. All right. Um

Right, so so is there anyone here who wishes to speak to this?

Leave it on consent. Then move on to the next.
