When I left there that morning I came out on uh County Road 41. And we're always talking about bicyclists out on the roads. And they were all in single file. They're all in my lane. I was behind him. And even though they were trying to be to the right side of the road, They take up about three foot of the right side of the road of You know, it's an arterial road, but it's a country road out there. So it uh
it's just not wide enough. I could not pass. There was curves or hills, you know, you had to go to and you had to be very careful. And then um After uh I got by them there was another group turned in front of me. um, that I had to wait for to turn, go across and going on Jasmine Road. So I mean I appreciate the fact they all come and I I enjoy their sport. They have the right to be on that road, but to me it was very dangerous. So I'd
rather see 'em on our trails. And I'd rather see the roads built to where we have bicycle lanes. to take care of them. So but to me it just seemed like it was a a dangerous situation that Could happen if you're not paying attention.
So uh let's bring it up again at the MPO because the DOT does have safety money. It comes out of some group out of University of Florida.

And that's how Fernando County got the wider shoulders on uh Spring Lake, Spring Lake Spring Hill. But forty
one is one of those groups. We've got we've got some paving, but I don't know if we have widening in that paving from twenty four First two um Parrish Grove Road, I think, is that's scheduled sometime in the near future.
I would you know that's why we did that A e com study is to say which road should we put the shoulders on, wider shoulders.
