Public comment for items not on agenda
What the county recorded
This item is not from the published agenda
It is a stretch of the recording that this archive identified as a separate matter — a call to order, a recess, or something taken up that the agenda does not list. There is no official title, no staff recommendation and no disposition, because the county never recorded one. Everything below is inferred.
The source document

What was said
Machine transcription of 7m of recording, with speaker names inferred from voice matching. 48% of 29 lines carry a name. It shows what was said, not what was decided, and both the words and the names can be wrong.
And at this time we will take public comment for items that are not on today's agenda. This will be for anybody in person or if there's anybody on WebEx that's pre-registered and are in the queue. Gianna, do you know do we have anybody signed up on Rebecca? There we go.
Thank you.
Hey. Just testing.
We did have one person whoops. We did have one person sign up in advance, however they are not on WebEx. We do have two individuals sign up for public comment in person.
Okay. So if you're here to speak to anything not on the agenda Oh I'm sorry. You approve of publication, please?
Okay, thank you.
So if there's anybody here to speak to anything that's not on today's agenda, now's the time. If you can go ahead please come forward. Um I I will say and this goes for anybody that comes up in total We request that when you address the Planning Commission Um Please do not direct your comments to anybody personally on the commission up here. uh but rather directed at the issues at hand. This provides mutual respect between the Commission members and the public. Okay.
And do we need to swear everybody in now?
You can either do it now or before the public hearing starts.
Yeah let's go let's go ahead and swear everybody in now. If you plan to give any public testimony today, if you can please stand and raise your right hand and the clerk will swear you in. Do you swear or firm the testimony you were about to give it? So long done.
I do.
And before you speak, um If you can when you come to the to the when you come up to speak, please state your name, address, and then uh go ahead and and acknowledge that you've been sworn, please. Sounds good.
My name's Ryan Flynn. I live at [address removed]. I just have a general procedural comment before the hearing. Uh The anytime an MPUD has a massive change in scope, um I request or I suggest that we hold a new neighborhood meeting because there's a lot of questions and concerns that can't be addressed in three minutes of public speaking. Um that And and I
feel that a neighborhood meeting would allow all of us to get together and get a better understanding of exactly what we're looking at. Um that's my comment. Thank you. Okay.
The next individual I have signed up for general comment is Nancy Hazelwood.
Hi, Nancy Hayeswood, [address removed]. I'm gonna get you all cheat sheets for procedure here,
you know.
Like sign up and all that.
Okay, so I've got about three different things to say and they're kinda relevant and they're kinda not, thanks. Uh the first one is what I call Cattel, a cautionary tale. You might have read this in Tampa Bay Times. It happened in Temple Terrace. The city sold 20 acres of land that's the Roderson Ranch to a group associated with Dr. Patel. And it's Terrace Real Estate Holdings LLC. that's associated with him.
They were supposed to build a college of trade and technology. They put a clause in the application that said in for this situation that they wouldn't have to do it if it was unfeasible. So they did a bait and switch. Now they're getting three hundred and sixty units on twenty acres instead of A college of uh technical Fields. So y'all watch when
Patel comes calling, okay? Anyways, that's number one. Number two is Spectrum. This is closer to home. This is in the Northeaster area plan. They're working off Bayhead Road and Palomino. And um Some of the neighbors were dismayed when they found one of the employees passed out in the car. Apparently he was dead drunk. They called nine one one. and they aroused the guy and let him go. The next thing that happened was the employee used
a citizen's property, changed clothes, visited the bathroom and then they were gone. They were caught on camera. That's all we know. So the other difficulty to the neighbors with Spectrum is they're working at eight thirty on a Sunday when everybody's home and trying to relax. Now, on to the Northeaster Protected Area. I have uh a suggestion, an idea. I'm hoping y'all will consider When you're working in the northeast rural
area for anything? I'd like to request all pervious surfaces. instead of asphalt. All parking lots, the northeast protected rural area. Let's go to pervious surfaces. We are the Brooksville Ridge. We are a high recharge area. This will help us save our water. and look better in the area. So we have a dwindling water supply in the county and this is something that I hope will help with it. And it will look better.
Thank you guys. All right, thank you, Nancy.
Okay, is there anybody else not signed up that wishes to speak to something not on the agenda today?
Good afternoon. I'm Kathleen Schneider. I live at [address removed]. It has come to my attention that there are individuals in East Pasco that own nice pieces of property. that they want to divide it for their family. However, when they made that application They were told no you can't do that.
You have to divide it into much smaller pieces to make a nice little subdivision. In this case It's ongoing right now. You guys need to be aware that there's something going on in the background that is making it possible. For people Within the county. to dictate what's happening with the land that people own. It's it's not right. If
if somebody comes in and says, I have eighteen acres and I wanna get three six acre lots, they should be able to get that. They shouldn't be told, no, you have to divide it into two and a half acre lots and do all kinds of crap. It's not right. You need to know it's happening. We know it's happening and it's not right. And I hope you agree to watch out for it because it's happening.
Okay.
