Coastal Encloat Trail construction and photos

1:24:24Yeah, thank you. All right, so I have some photos up there and depending on which one you load up is the subject that I'm gonna talk about first.

1:24:35Okay, so um I uh got a drive on our Coastal Encloat Trail. Yesterday or the day before with the uh project manager Sam Bennick And I just wanted to share with you some photos. of the trail under construction and um And and show you how beautiful this trail is gonna be. And so these are th as you can see the uh the final asphalt is not on there yet, but the contractor is on schedule and we should have

1:25:05this uh ribbon cutting sometime In late September, maybe October. I think he may be in ahead of time. Um, can you s scroll through some of the other pictures there? They they really uh walked the the um the route and made sure they were saving big trees and having beautiful views and I really appreciate that. Um We have uh a lot of people who use this property for motorcycle racing and jumping. And so, um, it's been

1:25:35a real challenge for the contractor to um build this while people are out there doing that. They actually put up tents on the weekend and have Well, I shouldn't talk too much 'cause I don't want to encourage that. There's some illegal activity going on out there that we um We hope we'll stop soon. And a lot of dumping, so Uh, this is gonna really d do well for this neighborhood to to stop that kind of stuff. 1:26:06then I have um Um photos Of uh a resident that I visited and and if you were at the M P O meeting or listening in We talked about the challenges at the Wa Wa on holiday. And um we've decided that we're gonna take out that bus stop because we just can't enforce it enough um to keep the drug dealing and loitering that's going on at the bus stop in front of Wawa on Holiday. And then I got an email at the same time about a how uh a residence

1:26:36behind it where um there was three shootings last week in that area. Um and um this neighbor who is having to live with this next door. So I I drove there after visiting the Wawa And um this is a real frustration of mine that I wanna talk to the board about. So if you go back to the first picture, the the garbage out on the street. Um there should be three, right?

That um that uh is owner occupied Um by a woman that and this is what I wanted Marcy to hear, and a uh uh I guess she's elderly, I'm not sure. She's not in good health, and I think there's some other issues going on. Um there were some people in her carport. And um

1:27:50When I asked to speak to them uh to talk to them about the garbage that was out on the street. th they didn't know the name of the woman who owned the trailer where they were hanging out. Okay, so She she finally came out and said that she didn't know who those people were. That were in her home. And she didn't know where the trash was coming from. And um And so There's it's just a mess at this residence. So I talked with Christy and

1:28:21we we think we're gonna con able to condemn this property, but Did you get the picture of the garbage in the front? No? Why's that not coming?

1:28:30I got it, but now I have to send it from my phone through the system over to them.

1:28:37The pic the pictures of the backyard I'm sending you are from the neighbor who made the um Who emailed me? And you know, code tells me that they go out there but there's a privacy fence around the back so they can't see in, but the gentleman a and and and do anything about the backyard. Um

1:28:58invited me to his backyard and he's and he showed me right there, standing in his backyard, what I could see in his backyard. And and so th these people who are camping out in this Mentally ill womans, in my opinion. Home are just Trashing it. And it stunk like you wouldn't believe. So this poor couple cannot enjoy their yard. And there's the front. So we don't have

1:29:27You know, n nothing's being done about this trash that's just piling up there and they said they had no money to take it to the dump and they were trying to figure out what to do with their trash. And these are the people who were staying there that didn't know the owner's name, right? So This this is one of the reasons why I was trying to make it mandatory that people have to have garbage cans. Um this is what I have in many places in my district. And and I want our code

1:29:57to go back to writing citations. I understand that the co the courts are open Um are partially open and I think we need to start dealing with this stuff again because this is what my constituents are living with and I'm getting email after email, especially in the holiday area, of why are we turning in these people who are have trash and sofas and everything in their yards. And code nothing's being done and so they're frustrated and I'm I'm frustrated
