Several speakers resources were were put towards those efforts. So we didn't, admittedly, did not have a lot of minimum standards efforts out looking specifically for unlicensed contracting. That's not to say it didn't happen. The Sheriff's Office was out looking for unlicensed contracting. Immediately following a storm, a couple things happened. Folks are starting to do muck and gut. You don't need a license for that. Anybody can come in. In fact, we saw that with our nonprofit groups. It takes a little bit of time following the storm for the Real kind of uh contracting and bad acting uh actors coming in. What a lot of folks didn't realize is the Office of Insurance Regulation also had state level inspectors driving around. We saw them out at at uh at Gulf Harbor certainly uh and some other places, and they were going around grabbing um numbers off of trucks, looking at license plates. Searching Facebook. So there was a lot of that happening behind the scenes. Unfortunately, we just didn't get great data collection of one of the things of the stuff that was happening during those months. It was kind of a little bit frantic. So part of our um our BPI coming forward for budget,
Moody So how so is it is it that the carrier that Verizon is licensed or is it that the tower is licensed? Is it that each little antenna is licensed? Explain to me how this works.
Oakley Okay, I I pulled this item because uh I was thinking it dealt with some issues with um With some of the cameras and all we have here at this courthouse. and uh was concerned about that if we were approving Because it's been an ongoing issue for a while. And I was just wondering if that had to do with those cameras here or if it was some other issue.
Moody Did you submit? the appropriate license for the tower with your application. And I'm sorry because I'm not an expert in FCC licenses and for cell towers, so I have no clue what's required, but I know that the submittal requirement says that you have to submit the license. So was that part of your package?
Several speakers So for the license they're for the service they're licensed for, which is a point to point microwave, which would only Literally go from point A to point B. Uh you need you need point A and point B. So they've only provided point A, so I have no idea where they would intend to hook. the other end of their point to point communications to The the the sixty gigahertz license they have for point to point communications is for backhaul would not provide uh they couldn't provide their WISP service with that license. What are we here? for actual service to the community.
Several speakers Andrew Baxter: this particular contract. Uh it really was more of an IT networking issue on our side um related to how we were sending those camera feeds through our system.
Several speakers or D S Line. But at the end of the day I requested uh information Uh they didn't really want to give it up for whatever reason. I get it from Verizon, I get it from T Mobile, I get it from any other applicants. It's not really proprietary information that I request. Um also did after that I did some further research into their S C C licensing. So someone asked that question earlier about SCC licensing. From what I could find, West Orange Wireless only has uh the only S C C license that they currently have. Uh it doesn't mean that they couldn't obtain FCC one. The ones that they currently have is for point to point. Um Communications, sixty gigahertz microwave communications at Pasco County. Now a lot of whisp use unlicensed equipment to deploy their technology as well. Which means you don't have to have an SEC license to do that. Um They
Andrew Baxter Yes, sir. Uh again Andrew Baxter, Facilities Management Director, responding to item twenty-three. Uh the camera issues that we've been experiencing in this particular location are are maintained by this company and then supported by our in-house team as well. In this uh instance related to the cameras here, we installed uh software on the on the on different computers so that video feeds could be seen. Uh due to some changes in our our security posture related to things that are going on in the world right now. That then caused uh some some delays. They were going through our firewall and had we we now have approached that in a little bit different way and we now have what's called a thick client um installed on those devices that resolved the delay that was being received in those cameras, but it has no uh function on
Several speakers Ron Oakley: Okay. All right. Thank you. Kathryn Starkey: All right. All right. Thank you. Thank you. Ron Oakley: Move a move a pro good.
