And that's coming right there at fifty two in Happy Hill. Right on that corner. So I'm not really happy that in our packet it said it was nowhere near the trail because it's actually on the trail. We just don't we just don't know if it's on the north side or the south side. So I really think it's important that every time that we need to have that context when we see projects coming through. Um I'm sorry Commissioner Oakley isn't here, but and and Lisa this is like a major trail coming through the county. It's called the Orange Belt Trail. It's similar to the Penelis County Trail. Starkey Yeah. Um it's easy to put those on those signs and let those folks who were riding the trails uh nowhere restaurants or other services or other amenities are around you. So I hope that we get maybe this is the year we get going on some branding. And that that trail that you saw going across the county Uh it's called the Orange Belt Trail. And that f that somewhat follows the Orange Belt Railroad right away, which sadly This county did not hold on to. We have some of it. Um, but it was actually auctioned off on our courthouse steps decades ago. When I became a commissioner, I I I think I stopped it. I tried to stop it. So um we have to do some workarounds. Uh but we uh It's just another route for the coast to coast and it it has more economic opportunity in our county because it goes through some some areas. uh where the where there is opportunity where the the s current Sun Coast

I just don't have it memorized. So someone tell me. Is this property on the proposed route for the Orange Belt that we just put out the press release last week.

Starkey It's the Sun Trail funding. Okay. And so we have we do have that coming on the I believe it's the south side of Trinity Boulevard. It'll go all the way up and connect to the existing trail um at the your public's there at um community drive and then Parts of it are already built that goes all the way to Rangeland and that'll eventually come up here to the With Lacucci State Trail. That is the continuation of the Pinellas County Trail. It's the old Orange Belt Railroad line and that construction should be starting soon. So I don't know if you might go back to your Pinellas County um um folks and make sure they have They have they do have the right-of-way, they can continue that to East Lake. That would be good. Then we could connect that stretch to the Penales County Trail over there at where it comes to East Lake and Tarpin. And I I do believe that more and more people are gonna use those trails to get to work um on those electric bikes and scooters and we

Here is a rough location showing the subject site just to the west of I-75 on the west side of Old Pasco Road. This is a zoning amendment from MPD to MP. This is the site of the previously expired Grantham MPD with a future land use of Residential One and Residential Three for a maximum development of 99 single-family detached dwelling units on 77.89 acres. Here is the subject sites location map. The zoning map reflecting the Grantham and beauty. The future land use showing res one and res three. Here is the applicant's master plan. You'll see a large portion of the site is Category One wetland. Here is an overall context map showing the Orange Belt Trail to the north in the Central Pasco employment villages with Eagles 1 and 2, as well as Mango Hill and Stillwell to the north along Old Pasco Road. The purple indicating Old Pasco Road. A large majority of the western portion is Swift Mud property within a state residential neighborhood. And then to the south you can see the school site Cypress Creek, which the applicant would be constructing

Starkey The beginning part of the orange belt is being is the sun trail is coming from the state with sun trail money. And it we fought. Hard and it took a long time to get that money.

Starkey the same same route that the Pinellas Trail um used, which is the vacant Orange Belt Railroad. So I'm told it was Euclidean zoning. I don't know what that means as far as reservation for the trail for any land. And again, I don't know if the trail's on the north or the south at 52 and Happy Hill. Uh but I know it's coming up also from fifty two. Um So the new the new fifty-two? Do you want to answer that? Yeah.

Several speakers improvement and that's a major improvement and we're working with um economic development folks here to try to bring along an incentive agreement that will help us do that. At the same time as Amy mentioned, we're building a major extension of the Orange Belt Trail alongside that road and then alongside the east-west road. And we build under the interstate and the long planned extension of Aussie Murphy Over to Pasco Road on the east side of 75 to Lincoln over by the Target Distribution Center. So these are major county objectives, some of which have existed for 20, 25 years that the project's gonna be fulfilling. So we're very excited about doing that kind of thing. Uh as I mentioned, we also significantly limited not just the amount of multifamily, but the site has a lot less single family that could have been allowed on the on the site from the get-go.
