- CPA 2502 North Pasco Resort hotel and RV amendment
Joe Yes, I am not the wastewater engineer, but I know enough to be dangerous. Um and I do know a lot after working on this project for so long. I've learned a lot from the wastewater engineer, and what I can say is that there is a misconception that the wastewater treatment acts like a septic system, right? Like it goes into a storage tank and then gets distributed out into drain fields and wastewater just leaches into the ground. That is not what happens here. There is an advanced wastewater, I'm not going to use that word because that's probably an Official term. There is a wastewater treatment system here that far exceeds and advances beyond what's over at Traveler's Rest because it's going to be much newer, much more state-of-the-art, and Traveler's Rest is about the same size as this. So we're going to end up with a new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility that treats all this wastewater. It will be permitted to do so, and then And that treated disinfected water is actually distributed to

- PC11 PDD-227422 North Pasco RV Resort MPUD
Joe Yeah, in fact, in that case, it actually is raw wastewater going into the ground and percolating through and hoping the ground does its magic. In this case, that is we are not talking septic systems. We are talking send it to a water quality treatment plant. With dual trains, one goes down, the other can handle the peak flow. And then once treated, that water will percolate into the ground. Okay.

- UT-210584 water and wastewater connection fee amendment
Justin Grant Good afternoon. Justin Grant, Public Infrastructure Fiscal and Business Administration Director. This item is U T. 210584, an ordinance amending the Pasco County Land Development Code, Chapter 1300, Capital Facilities, Fees and Incentives Related to Fees, Section 1302, Mobility and Impact Fees, Subsection 1302.8, Water and Wastewater Service, Impact Fees. Okay, bear with me. Okay. What this item is doing is we're proposing a modification of the term water and wastewater impact fee to water and wastewater connection fee. This connection fee is a term representing the mechanism by which the county provides capacity to a new or additional customer. It's notable that the last time the impact slash connection fee was modified, the schedule was adopted, was in 2006. And we propose that this connection fee adjustment be effective January 1, 2022. These connection fees are charged for the proposed usage of the county's water supply, treatment plant, and transmission main facilities. So that's water and wastewater and reclaim operations. Connection fees are paid by developer or customer utilizing portions of those systems. And when the changes are uh needed, the Board of County Commissioners will set the utility rates via resolution adopted at the public hearing.
