Oakley Yep. Doctor Hugh I can't I can't tell you enough how grateful I am for y you and the Moffat team to be here in Pasco County. Um cancer disease is is very terrible to everyone and doesn't doesn't eliminate anyone. Anyone can get this disease and it's very harmful to all all of our citizens. So You being here and the fact that they have the being close to Moffat and be able to get the right kind of cure in the future that We hope that one day we see a total cure, which I know you're working toward, but Um it's it's so grateful that I am of of what y'all do and And being here and being close to our citizens, so Uh it will pay dividends and I hope you come up with that cur Sooner than later.

Oakley Yeah, right. There you go. But it was good. That's that's a great station. So it's a four base station. Um Before this station goes in. The neighborhood Uh south of this station. was five miles from any station. So this fills in a gap that will bring service to the citizens a lot quicker than it did before. So It really helps out. And then after that, we're going on to honor the uh grand opening of the Moffitt Spiritus Outpatient Center on Friday, January 9th. And there we are. That's all I had for today.

Oakley Commission Oakley. Yeah. I feel very comfortable with the answers I've heard here today to to support this money going toward Moffett and and the impact they have on Pasco County means a lot to all of us. Higher paying jobs, uh better impact for for work and being at home and and people right here locally around Moffat. You'll s you'll see the impact happen in the neighborhood and area and all of Pasco County. So it's I feel very comfortable with moving forward with a uh project like this that will be for profit, that will pay taxes. We gotta be very uh careful with citizens' money and it's and it's our job to make sure that we don't wastefully spend that money. We make sure that it's going the right way and we're being paid back uh to our citizens because this is our citizens' money and we're very, very lucky to have Moffat with us. We're very happy that you're part of Pasco County. So

Oakley Yeah, we we certainly appreciate everything that y'all do. Um And he was right in saying it seems like we're the county's becoming more and more in health with with Moffitt, with Advent Health, with Baycare, with different hospitals or Land O' Lakes Uh all children's coming. uh even another hospital or two looking at Pasco County to come to. The benefactor of all that and all your good work that you do are our citizens in Pasco County. So you couldn't ask for anything better than that. And because everybody's trying to be number one in healthcare. We're gonna get the best care throughout our whole county because of y'all. Thank you. Anyone else want to speak?

Oakley not just voted on by the Um commission, but this was part of the referendum we asked for our citizens to vote on. And this is one of the first nations that was approved by the citizens of our county. So we have a lot to be thankful for. If they hadn't voted in, I think we still would have had to vote on this issue and we would have. But it's great to know that your citizens in Pasco County. feel the same way we do. And and it's actually uh great to know that that we're all on the same page and moving forward with the growth that we're having here in this county. So pretty amazing. Yes

Oakley Well there's a contest. Has anybody ever been to the Urban Air Adventure Park? Uh if you haven't been there, it's really neat uh place, I tell you. All indoors, all air conditioned. So if you're gonna work out and it's it's really a pretty neat place. So it's pretty amazing. And and their um attendance there with people coming back in have started increasing. So it's right there in New Port Richey. Go to the next picture. Oh, there you go. Some real good artwork. amazing ideas that some of the young kids have about The water cycle. Okay, go to the next picture. The next picture is uh fire rescue station number nine. Last Tuesday, May 27th, Land O' Lakes. Um That's in Ms. P Fitzpatrick's uh area there of the county in her district. And it's uh what's really important about this station and of course that was groundbreaking in it nine, ten months we'll see a station there. But uh what's really amazing is the fact uh is this station was

Oakley Uh I believe they sent over some pictures that you can put up of um We um celebrate the uh groundbreaking of Moffat Cancer Center. uh ceremony there on um On Friday. Very very well attended. A lot of people there. Um Mm-hmm. Not much of a surprise. There's Mr. Moffat right there with uh Kevin Steele and myself. So But It was a great day out there and uh welcome to see uh the Moffett Center getting started. The road in will be named uh Wilton Way. And the um the center actually is W. E. Simpson Concourse for Cures is named after Wilton Simpson. So very proud of that for him and And for Pasco County a great day for making us uh Premier County. So But that's good. So All right. Oakley water stuff? The event this morning was very nice to be at and uh we had a beautiful day here in Pasco County and Um We're very proud of Moffett bringing all the technology to Pasco County that they are. and hopefully it not only be assistance to all the health of our citizens in Pasco County. But all over All over the state of Florida and and further out. So I think it'll have it's it's the only machine, I believe, of its type. uh proton machine of its type in the southeast. So they will have far reaching uh care going out from that machine bringing people in. Sorry. But yes, enjoyed that very much.
