Now at the expense of being searched and you shouldn't be searched, you've done nothing wrong, having these cameras up everywhere, the data that's collected, you may say we're not doing anything with it, Ron? But the people that own it, the reason they're doing it so cheaply and expensively, they're making money from that data they're collecting. They're not out of selling out there. But they're not. So let me say this before you guys make a motion, before we k before I call this motion, I think you should get more information. Because liter literally, I've got the gains report that's here. That says all the things that are wrong with it, the things that can go wrong with it. Todd Bailey, I gave him a copy yesterday to go look at it and review it. Before you're gonna make a decision on this. I think you wanna do more homework on it. Because right now that information is out there, there's a reason they're making money. That's because they're taking the data, they're manipulating it. And whether it gets stolen or used, whatever, it's something that our citizens I've heard enough, for one, that they don't like it.     Mariano Anyway, for some reason I'm pulling up, but on Fox News they had an article on it where a something was happening with a lady who was tracked by a flock camera falsely. I had another saw another one where a lady was being accused. She had to prove that it wasn't her in a car and had to fight that battle for a long time until they finally dropped the case. So there's negative things going elsewhere. And again, I'm not saying our people do anything wrong. I'm going to say chase the people we talk to, very professional. I think what we have is in place is good. However, what can be done with that information, they can't control. And you haven't even seen the contract and I wanted Dave to go look at the contract to find out are we being subject to uh a bad situation because of the contract they've written that we didn't see.

    Mariano for. The basic thing is you you use the word an authorized search. None of the people driving along that didn't give you authorization to me or an author makes it an unauthorized search. Um the compilation of all the data is where the problem is. Not just you reading a plate, sounds great, but that's the data collection and what goes on is where the big problem is, and that's where I think you're getting to where we're stepping over where people don't want all that data put on them, which could be used again. I mean we have You know, m m Miranda loves to go to go check people out to say you're gonna you're uh you're under Uh you know, arrest for whatever, but you're doing searches without any of that information. If the private group wants to go out, like Lowe's wants to have a camera out, if I want to have a ring camera, which I do. I I'm protecting myself. That's good. But for us to go put in the public right away to collect this data, which could be used who knows how many other ways, in a negative way. Never mind all the good ways, but the negative ways, to me goes against the American liberty that we have. So I'm gonna

    Mariano Yeah, we're d so I'm gonna I'm gonna want to have more information about um the data collected, where it goes, how it's stored. What we saw with the flock cameras, that data goes out. It can be hijacked from what I can see. Again, I've got Todd Bailey looking at the report that's on there. Whether they use it or they say they're not going to use it, I don't know. But the contract written with the sheriff, I have to ask uh our county attorney actually go look at that to see what's in there. So before I go s support any motions going forward, I want a lot more information to this and in time we can get it, but Um until I get that information, I can't support it.

    Mariano their machinery in to go kind of warn people to slow them down so they get better notification and clearly when a school zone is going on, that you could actually then take another step to go take further, because the data they'll show you is like how many speed is going, et cetera, et cetera, continually, but also warning and affecting and I think getting a better result without. going through all this data collection that's what I just saw earlier today with these flock cameras, same type of thing. And again with the cities, um you know, they love the Ray Light cameras, they're gonna love this too. I just don't want to see it proliferate. I think this is a much better solution.

    Mariano Before you get the picture, I I just wanna thank you guys for doing collaborative working together. Uh Larry Pendleton used to be the head of the Florida Spo Florida Sports Foundation. Where they take the license plate money and put money in that we Yeah. And his favorite phrase was the purpose of economic of tourist development is not Tourism, it's not heads and beds, it's economic development. And what you guys are doing together working here right now is phenomenal.

    Mariano All right, thank you. Uh in light of this um constitutional question on the fourth amendment, I think it's worthy of having a quick conversation with the board. Uh frankly, I think we've got a ton of emails, not as many as data centers, but I think all of us have vis visited to go visit our flock camera operation with the Sheriff's Office. And I want to say this our Sheriff's Office team has done this very respectfully, very responsibly. But bottom line comes into this shared information, the fact of 90 days. I'm I'm I'm uncomfortable with this going on for another day. I want to see how the board feels. If we want to write a letter to the sheriff asking to stop these things now, or what what what's the what's the pleasure of the board at this moment?

    Mariano As everybody knows, Sunshine Law prevents us from talking with each other about any of these items coming before the board. So um but in a situation like this, I think it's important enough. And Chase, thank you for the work with all of us to show us what you guys are doing. And again, I've got full confidence you've done it right, other than some other counties that haven't. But what you've done has been great. And I think your people are well intentioned, so I have no negative feelings toward the operation. But the citizens' complaints is what concerns me the most. So we would go ahead and discuss it.
